I had a feeling this would be Perfect's final opponent. I have to go with The Rock. While Hennig may be a better technical wrestler, Rock has had more matches that I find enjoyable and probably has a couple matches that I would rate higher than any Perfect match I've seen. Outside of the ring, I don't think it's a contest of who is better... so I'm going with Rock.

Mad props to Hennig though.

So... The Rock is HoF bound!

Rock. It's no secret I don't rate better wrestler by in-ring talent alone... though to be quite frank, I think Rock was MUCH better at drawing the crowd into his matches than Perfect ever was. Technical prowess is really all Perfect has in this matchup, and it's not nearly enough for me.

The Rock is a great entertainer outside of the ring, cuts great promos, and is much better in the ring than a lot of people give him credit for. However, I also feel he had the luck to get famous in the middle of the attitude era, which automatically makes him more of a draw.

Perfect was simply, well, perfect in the ring, while also being entertaining in interviews and in skits. Sure, he never was WWF champ, but that doesn't make him a lesser wrestler. His skills on the mic, if not on par with The Rock, were only slightly below. He was simply in a different era that didn't reward that as much. His in-ring work however was leaps and bounds over The Rock.

So I give the edge to Curt.

Mr Perfect is amazing. But there is something about The Rock, it wasn't always his wrestling however his storytelling that got me. He is greatness in and out of the ring.

The Rock.

Mr Perfect had the advantage in wrestling skills but The Rock was one of the best at promos and popularity as a heel or face with a crowd. The Rock also had much stronger feuds than Mr Perfect and managed to have 1 feud become one of the 2 main feuds of the Attitude Era (Rock vs Austin, Austin vs McMahon).

How can you vote for the better wrestler in one round (Perfect over Hogan) and then go ahead and vote for the entertainer the next? You're all a bunch of freakin' Flip Floppers!

Nark Order
06-02-2010, 10:54 PM
You're acting as if The Rock was some sort of slouch in the ring. He's one of the better in-ring competitors of all time IMO as well as being a force on the mic.

The Mackem
06-03-2010, 09:26 AM
I don't agree with that. He was no idiot in the ring but he was never technically blessed. He had a limited moveset and silly moves just like Hogan. The main difference between the two is that Hogan was normally against limited opponents such as Warrior, Earthquake, Yokozuna whereas Rock was against good workers like Austin, Angle and Triple H.

I don't remember Rock ever being carried by anybody really. He was extremely athletic, was fast for a man of his size, had wonderful ring psychology, sold like a champion, and was extremely crisp in the execution of his moves. As far as his limited move set, many main-eventers are pushed with the same dimensions. I'd say the Rock was actually one of the guys that fit that mold the least, to be honest. He had his well known move-set, but it's not like he followed it religiously like Cena or something.
