I watched it last night and enjoyed it. As someone that hasn't read the comics I think it would have been great...if I hadn't read up on the Robin/Red Hood lineage sometime beforehand and thus would get the full effect of the "suprise".

Also, what happened to Nightwing during the story?

Leg injury.

Just watched it. Definitely better than the comic book version. Mainly because the reason that Jason is alive isn't "An alternate Earth Superboy was angry and punched the walls of reality".

I absolutely loved it. It's one of the best comic related animated movies I seen. I loved everything about it. Can't wait to buy it.

This was pretty heavy. Liked the Heath-type Joker, but Red Hood stole the show. The last scene was a major downer.

all of this. john dimaggio was a fantastic joker. totally different to mark hamill's and really nicely realised by the animation department. jensen ackles' jason todd was awesome too. greenwood's batman was pretty similar to kevin conroy's but that's never a bad thing.

this was also a particularly brutal batman film. like, the dc films have been violent before but this was pretty dark.

loved it though.

Ya this was more action packed than usual, and the emotions came through well in the end. Better than Superman/Batman:Public enemies, and probably one of the best Warner Bros Animations in recent times.

I didn't like the look of unmasked Batman or unmasked Nightwing or even Joker and I definitely didn't like Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill not voicing their characters but I liked Jensen as Red Hood/Jason Todd and the end was really good. Jason unmasking himself and letting it all out was touching.

So I just put this into my nextlix queue and I was reading the credits that Kevin Conroy ain't doing the voice for Batman. Kinda weird since he did Arkham Asylum.

Anybody know the reason? Just curious.

He only as voiced one of these kinds of DVD things. They are getting different voice over actors for all of these projects.

The DC animated films aren't establishing set universes so they get different voices for the movies. Conroy did the Nolan-verse 'Animatrix' movie, Public Enemies, and will return for the Public Enemies sequel.

I did like the other voices chosen, particularly New Frontier Batman.

I thought I would hate this because Kevin Conroy wasn't involved. It was excellent and the guy doing Batman was good too. Didn't notice his non-Kevin Conroyness because he had his own thing.

I was quite pleased with how it turned out, which is funny, because I hated the comic version of it.

God.

DAYUM THIS WAS AWESOME! I hadn't read the comics, but I knew there was a rouge robin. This motherfucking flick gave me goosebumps. Loved the Joker, and Nightwing was fun. The last act was fucking cool too. Gonna hunt this down and buy it

seriously don't, you will ruin your impression of the story.

winick's comic arc equivalent is practically reviled.

I just watched this. Absolutely fantastic. I loved everything about it. I would say it's even better than Mask of the Phantasm and Sub Zero.
