Gino Hernandez was a guy who could have carried a promotion had he been able to concur his personal demons. He was fantastic.

For a second there I was worried that I'm the only WCCW fan here. Anyway, yeah, one of my fondest memories of Gino Hernandez (in addition to his feud with the Von Erichs) was his tag team work with Chris Adams, "The Dynamic Duo." For those who don't know, those two invented the gold scissors, and would cut off the hair of their opponents, which Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake would later do in the World Wrestling Federation.

Gino had such great charisma and had a talent for making people hate him

He and Tully Blanchard were a great heel duo in Southwest Championship Wrestling
