From PWInsider:

TNA Wrestling has released former X-Division and Tag Team champion Homicide, PWInsider.com has confirmed. Homicide, a former Ring of Honor champion, had been with TNA since 2005 and at one point, was part of one of the hottest acts in TNA, the LAX group with Konnan and Hernandez.

Homicide had hardly been used since the Bischoff/Hogan regime began, mostly used on Xplosion bouts before being used in an injury angle to further the Hernandez-Matt Morgan storyline with the idea that TNA would reform LAX down the line. Obviously, that will not come to pass.

Homicide recently relocated back to the Northeast, so I'd expect to see him back working for a lot of his old haunts soon.

Homicide also launched an official twitter at twitter.com/Notorious187_D.

YES, about time. They weren't using him, best thing for him was to get out of there.

I bet if he had been in WWE before TNA he would be a TNA world champ by now.

Homicide in WWE would be a good look. They can start him off with the IC or US title and work his way up to World or WWE because we all know he has the talent. I just hope if WWE does sign him they actually use him.

I don't think there's a place for him in WWE. Can't see him fitting in with their product.

However, if he goes back to ROH, we can bring back one of the great entrance theme of the day.

they needed to make room for the Randy Savage

Homicide has been asking for his release from the company since Dixie took over. I think it is sad that his last use was a buffer for the Morgan/ Hernandez feud.

Side note, What happen to Hernandez? He came back from mexico where he got in much better shape, and then he dissapeared.

I haven't seen much of Homicide, but he's apparently really quite brilliant in the ring. I can see him signing up with that new Florida promotion. Maybe he'll end up in the WWE, but I think we can expect to see quite a different presentation of him. I think he's probably a little sick of the bigger companies, though.

I would absolutely mark the fuck out if they gave Homicide an "anti-PG" gimmick, though. It wouldn't really make much sense if they want to have a PG product, but he could really piss off parents and scare some kids if he showed up as Homicide, kicked a lot of ass, had a violent attitude, and talked about how grizzly the real world is.
