If you could pluck any one jobber in the WWE or TNA and instantly thrust them into the main event, who would it be and who would you book them against to cement their status there.

Your choices would include the likes of:
Goldust
Regal
Ryder
Tatsu
Santino
Kozlov
Bourne (the guy is teetering on the line between midcard and jobber again)
etc.

I'd say Goldust. His character still has some legs to it after all these years, and he's putting on great matches.

Bourne is a good choice but how about Big Zeke.

Pretty sure this thread is classifying anyone not in the main event as a jobber. But oh well. I'd go with William Regal. The guy is fucking amazing all-round. As for how I'd get him there -- he just stops fucking around with Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov. One week, they show a video of him destroying Santino for the IC Title in England, and then Regal beats Marella again in no time with the Regal Stretch.

The following week, it is Vladimir Kozlov. Another squash, and then Regal tears through the entire RAW mid-card. Goldust, Yoshi Tatsu, Mark Henry and even Evan Bourne. Regal just becomes a man possessed on his way to the top.

Is it time for Matt Hardy v 2.0?

Tatsu. Give him a ponytail, a suit, and have him drop the happy-go lucky shtick. Make him a vicious heel and book him to feud with Edge or Jericho.

Goldust vs Regal vs Kofi for the IC belt.

Book it.

I can't call any of those guys jobbers. That's a ridiculous list.

I don't think that guy knows what a jobber is.

Had this been a year or so ago I would've said Jamie Noble easily. He's always been a great performer and worked great matches. At a house show I saw Noble vs. Chavo and they went for easily 15-20 minutes in a great match.

But since he's retired and working backstage I'd have to say William Regal

Brooklyn Brawler.

:y:

This.

Have him win the money in the bank, then cash it in against Cena when he wins the title again inevitably, after winning some other gimmick match against Orton or Sheamus, that way the Brawler has a chance.

Santino. The guy is already gold on the mic...pair him with a veteran who "teaches him how to fight," and have him begin to win matches (and be shocked at himself when he does.) You can keep the same personality, but tweak it a bit to give him more of a backbone, and have him go after a top heel who mocks the shit out of him (say, Jericho).

Put them in a nice 15 minute match where Santino (who is shown training every week on Raw) really shows off his wrestling chops, and cleanly beats Jericho. From there, just build him as someone who actually knows how to go, but with the same goofball side. Plus, with that built in to his character, he can turn heel again, do the chickenshit thing, but actually be able to win matches when need be without burying his competition.

Still? Jeez. feels like its been forever. Especially when guys Edge, HHH and Cena come back a couple of months after injury.

Regal, he's one of the best and he can sell tickets. Goldust as a contender would be interesting, he is better than ever. Make him a homo heel again against Orton.

Watching that would be awkward. Interesting, but awkward. Like when Punk was placed against Jeff, breathed logic unto the masses, and they still cheered Hardy when he made brilliant, child-like retorts like "OH YEAH!?"

As much as I like Goldust, I'm going to go with Ryder. He has the youth that is needed so he could take the ball and run all around the world with it.

I'd go with Golddust, have him in a feud with Cody,A close scond would be Regal, have him win the IC belt.

This would be right up there. My heart puts Regal first, but with a guy like Santino, I really think they could create either a massive fan favourite or a massive heel. I hope this is where his relationship with Vladimir Kozlov goes. Right now, Marella can get beat down and then tag in the monster who cleans house and wins the match. But show Kozlov reaching Marella some stuff backstage, drawing on his real life martial arts and fight experience, etc. Marella then becomes a force to be reckoned with.

I don't think Jordan meant that Regal was a draw, so much that people would pay to see him get his ass kicked. He was a MONSTER heel when he was credible for that short time in 2008.

Bring back the Honkey Tonk Man Meter!

SlickyTrickyDamon

The Honk-a-Meter... I really miss Santino as a funny heel. I'd say turn Santino back into a funny heel and have him and Kozlov try to get the tag team championships. So, that would include two of the people on the list.

I don't know if Bourne is somebody you should classify as a normal jobber, but maybe a Jobber to the Stars.
