Cannot wait for this. It's a total nerd sim game with driver aids to make it easier to get into and the Dirt rewind system (as in limited rewinds, not Forza's unlimited thing).

Full career mode over several seasons with things happening off the track as well, penalties for over-aggressiveness and cutting the track and it calculates the level of grip on the track in 30cm sections depending on how rubbered in that part is and what the weather is.

It also looks stunning, especially on PC. Anyone else grabbing this?

I might end up grabbing this for PC if I can get my hands on a 5850 when I get back home to the states.

I would usually buy for PS3 racing games like this, the only true SIM game I enjoyed was the Grand Prix series by Geoff Crammond. But maybe I will be "looking" at it for PC instead.

Either way, I still play F1 CE on the PS3 and GP4. So yeah, I'll get it somehow or other.

I'm loving this game. Started my career with Lotus.

Medium and hard are way too easy, but it was cool to hear some of the engineer dialogue has shown some of the love for F1 that went in this game.

During practice at Malaysia, I kept being told that it was a big weekend for us (Lotus are a Malaysian team) and that I should get some exposure and not damage the car.

After I hit pole in quali, the engineer goes "Wow I don't believe it! A Lotus on pole after all these years!" Love those details.

Playing Expert now though and now I have limited threw for the weekend and engines for the season and the AI is ramped up. Best finish is 18th now (I won the first 3 races on hard) which is where a Lotus should be. I can get a podium with Red Bulls on GP mode, but overtaking on expert is hard as fuck.

Have totally fallen in love with this. Will probably be my personal GOTY.

I'm still playing F1 2006 :(

How does it work as far as setting your car up for the race? Cos that takes far too long on 2006. I end up spending an hour setting up my car, 20 minutes qualifying then 10 minutes in the actual race (assuming Ralf Schumacher doesn't crash into me on the first corner and put me out).

You can fine tune your car setup apparently on expert, although I've not tried. There's a lot of default settings, 2 very high downforce for wet races, 2 low downforce for dry races and 3 adaptable settings. Plus, if it's going badly and your teamate is outpacing you, you can copy his car setup.

If I was REALLY into racing I would pick this up but I'm not so GT5 will be enough for me

Outsold Halo Reach and Dead Rising 2 combined this weekend in the UK. Insane.

First F1 game to go to number 1 since 2001

Loving what I've played so far although have come last or close to last in the few races I've done.

Won my first race of the season in the wet and in my shitty lotus. Pit stops are bugging me though as I always seem to end up staying in longer than needed.
