Does anyone else remember this character?

I really expected him to get a big feud with 'Taker, but the gimmick only lasted a couple months before he was sent back to ovw...only to be called up again as Kevin Thorn.

Last time I remember seeing the Mordecai character, he was doing a rant on Eddie Guerrero.

I would've loved to see that feud happen between Undertaker and Mordecai. I remember his last televised match was against Rey Mysterio.

He was really green at the time.

Awful gimmick.

I remember loving the gimmick and the music.

I wonder if after Taker and Kane are gone, if we'll ever get another "supernatural" like character again, or if "modern" fans just won't accept it.

He was too small for the gimmick

He was too small for the gimmick

yea, loved the gimmick, but I believe his first few matches were against cruisers and that killed him because he was just a little bit bigger then them. Nobody took him seriously after that. He never looked like he could be any kind of threat to Taker.

What I would of done was put him with a bigger guy and then go after Taker. But the gimmick and character was really good. Just had the wrong guy for the role.

Honestly, I had to youtube this guy in order to remember him, didn't even recognize the tron. A truly epic gimmick when put in contrast to Undertaker or Kane, if given the chance to expand I think he could been a top midcard contender.

He was too small for the gimmick

Not pasty enough to be described as "The Pale Rider" either...now, if they'd had Sheamus back then and used him in this role...:shifty:

I suppose it'd be something like a Celtic saint persona, with his 'fiery red hand'.

I hated this gimmick. He would have feuded with Taker, lost, then had nowhere to go and been subsequently jobbed out before being repackaged. They saved us a lot of time by just skipping to the repackage.

Name rings a bell but don't remember him at all other than that.

I was really excited for this character when promos started debuting. Like everyone, I initially thought it was Matt Capotelli's call-up to the roster but when I found out it wasn't, I lost interest.

Debuting and defeated a couple of cruisers didn't do him any favours, but they were teasing a feud against Eddie Guerrero (Mordecai took exception to his lying, cheating and stealing) before it was canned. Things would have definitely worked out differently had he had that program; Eddie would've made him look like a million bucks in the ring, in any promos or verbal exchanges.

Real shame I guess, although it did give us a few good weeks of Kevin Thorn and Ariel. Now there's a character I'm pissed off they dropped!

I always felt that they should've had Mordecai pull the lever at the Great American Bash in 2004, burying Paul Bearer in the cement to end the show and starting a feud with The Undertaker, which would've led to a match at SummerSlam.

This gimmick is exactly how I imagined 'Silas' when I read the Da Vinci code.
