He's out for the rest of the year for surgery on his hip. How did that one slip by without a thread? So much for Punk v Bryan :nono:

They're trying to figure out how to get him on TV without wrestling.

Commentary?

This would actually be good for Punk vs. Danielson. Have them build it up very slowly, with Punk commentating Bryan's matches, randomly appearing during them on the stage and whatnot. If they built it up to the point where they don't touch until Mania it would be amazing.

Maybe let them go at it as a teaser in the Rumble, and again in the Chamber, but never go beyond a few sequences. Then start the build into Mania.

Love this idea, but knowing WWE, they'll probably fuck it up

he should end up being the Anonymous Raw GM

Keeping Punk on TV without wrestling during injury could be great for his career. Sort of like Austin in late 1997

As dense as this seems at first glance it is actually an Epic idea. Apart from the fact that I hate punk (Not as much since he cut his hair and lost the mask though) and HHH is the Raw GM.

Now that King is out following knee surgery a spot may have opened up for him.

Judging by what he's done (albiet briefly) as a commentator, I think him sitting at the desk of either Raw or Smackdown would be a great way to both maintain/develop his character, and inject some much needed personality and conflict into the announce teams.

I think it would be akin to how JBL was as a commentator, where you would get that natural heel perspective that WWE announce teams have been missing for so long.

Plus, it'd be easy to build a fued with Daniel Bryan from behind the desk. Have him "heel it up" on all of the faces except Bryan, who he applauds and gives respect to. Then, when he's healed up, have him attack Bryan "out of nowhere". Simples.

Hopefully stops them rushing the buildup, could be a decent 'mania match:drool:

I don't think King is out following the surgery, he was just unable to fly to the UK due to it.

- CM Punk chose not to have surgery because he got a medical opinion that he would be able to rehab his torn muscle tendon in his glute. Punk will be out of action until at least January but should be good for WrestleMania
