It seems like it would be pretty good. Denzel Washington going out and taking people out one by one to get the girl back. I expect it to be action packed.

The guy who wrote it is pretty good. He wrote Mystic River and LA Confidential. Dunno though. Denzel Washington is usually in ehhhhh movies.

Your crazy. How about Training Day? Or Glory? I loved Glory personally. Great movie. That movie he was in with John Lithcomb? Cant remember the name, but it was really good. Training day was one of my favorite movies though.
Man of Fire looks really good.

Yeah, but Helgeland also wrote "The Order."

Of course, every writer makes a bad movie now and then.

He made "A Knight's Tale," so I'll always give his stuff a shot.

Yes, he has had one or two good movies, but that is in addition to the other 15 shitty movies he's been in.

Mystic River was a book written by Dennis Lehane. Adapted screenplay, maybe, but the story was by Lehane and he has written a shitload of excellent books.

LA Confidential was previously a book, too. It depends on how good the original story is, I suppose, never mind how great the guy is at adapting it.

Yeah, Man on Fire is an adaptation too.

Denzel Washington has made some great movies. Some others didnt like but in the end I was a fan favorite of them.

Favorite Denzel Movies:
Training Day
John Q
Virtuasity (Also had Russle Crow in it. Funny how it rarely shows up on his movie list)

It was fantastic. One of the better paced films I've seen in a while, it's nice to see actual build up in a movie, especailly build up that is not rushed to just get into the action.

Just finished watching it after getting it for Christmas. I really loved this movie. It was a great drama with pritty awesome directing. I loved the whole documentary feel to it. Denzel was great, as was Walken (of course). Dakota Fanning is such a great actress for such a little girl. Her performance was dead on. I'm glad I own this movie.
