The latest issue of Power Slam, the independent monthly non-kayfabe wrestling magazine, features a story on Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque’s official promotion to Senior Advisor to Vince McMahon, which has led many to conclude that “The Game” is now more interested in a career behind the scenes than in the squared circle. Though in no way confirmed, the article notes that McMahon is expected to step down from his post as Chairman and CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment in 2011 or 2012 and hand over the reigns of the company to Levesque. McMahon, however, would remain with the organization in an advisory role.

How do you folks feel about VKM stepping down soon and Triple H becoming the new man in charge?

It's only fitting as his wife will be running again for office.

I think he will focus on WWE Studios.

Vince will die in the job.

Honestly...

I've always wanted to see Shane McMahon as the head of the organization, and then Triple H and Stephanie in the locker room and creative.

I think Shane fits the corporate role much better than Triple H.

LOL..

Sorry James Steele.

And, it's only fitting as Vince got handed the reigns from his father, then to his son.

Vince will die before he stops running the company.

I wonder how Shane feels? Or does he even care since he doing stuff with MMA now and seems to have moved?

I also believe that Vince stepping down is the thing/spark that the business needs, someone else to control the monopoly.

Vince will die in the job.

Maybe the Anonymous GM really will be Vince but WWE needs more time to program his voice and his ideas/plans into the computer before he dies or retires. :shifty:

Its been known for a while that Vince was favoring Steph and Triple H to take over the company more than Shane. Steph and Triple H are more likely to continue Vince's style for the WWE than Shane who wants to make some changes to the WWE style.

I cant see Vince stepping back and let someone run his company. He seems too erratic for that, always on edge. He doesnt seem the 'retiring' type.

Hence by 'advisory role' means he'll still be pulling the strings.

I'd mark out if they had a angle where Shane returns to fight for power over the company.

I miss Shane.

I've wondered if Shane would even WANT the keys to the kingdom.

Let's be serious here: I am a HUGE fan of Shane. On-air, he's done EVERYTHING that could be done. He's been a ref, he's been an announcer, he's been a manager, GM type authority figure, and, all things considered, even a compotent wrestler and one hell of a bump machine. (Hell, he was probably on the ring crew.) Off air, he's well liked, respected, and adored.

However, what I'm getting at is that maybe HE actually wanted something else? I mean, his dad is Vincent Kennedy fucking McMahon, he's been around wrestling since birth. He's done all that shit with the company, for the company... maybe he just wants to do something else? Even Vince wanted to do other things. Yeah, everyone shits on WBF and XFL, and that wrestling is the breadwinner, but even he wanted to expand his horizons. Methinks Shane is doing just that, only in a less-fail way. It may be out of his system. It may not be enough of a challenge for his McMahon blood, possibly being as competitive as his dad is.

Just because Shane is hands down the popular choice and clearly knows wtf he's doing, doesn't mean he is feeling it and wants to pursue it.

Judging by that last smile, I'm guessing:

I've heard that people love when Triple H runs the shows backstage. I guess anything would be easier than having Vince screaming at you, but apparently guys really enjoy having HHH in charge. So this is good.
