caught Big Show's doc the other night. wasn't very good at all. They concentrated too much on him as being "big" and not more on his feuds/matches etc.... They blazed right past his WCW stuff and didn't really dive in to deeply with his WWE stuff. Like they talked about Undertaker "mentoring" him, but didn't really talk about them being in a tag team and winning the belts. I wanted more of that.

Xero
03-06-2011, 07:50 PM

Jeritron
03-16-2011, 12:35 AM
I'm watching the Steamboat doc right now. I'm enjoying it, but it's droning on a bit. Probably because he's not very enthusiastic in his recollections. He's talking a lot, obviously, and it's pretty slow.

He's one of my favorites though and the further it gets into his actual career the better it gets.

I watched like 3 docs before this. I found the Big Show one really interesting. I threw it on in the background thinking I wouldn't be that entertained but it totally grabbed me.
I loved that it was more about his life/condition than just his in ring career.

<font color=goldenrod>History of WrestleMania is awesome. Interesting to hear that most of the wrestlers don't like the big stadiums because you can't hear the crowd when you're in the ring, the sound travels upward. But a lot of guys say Vince wants to have it in stadiums every year from now on. Hope they make an exception for WM 30.

Also in the section about Taker's streak...wonder if WWE regret having Triple H outright say "I don't think anybody will beat Undertaker's streak."</font> :shifty:

Watched the Cena DVD. Cena seems like a stand up guy. It's too bad there was that period that WWE pushed him down our throats with poop jokes and turned a lot of people off. He seems like a genuine guy and came off as someone ordinary living his dream. New found respect for Cena the guy.

Watching the cage DVD streaming now, its up.

Was disappointed with the edited version of the Cage match DVD, only enjoyed 2 of those matches.

As for Rey's DVD, I thoroughly enjoyed that. I'd also like to say that I really enjoy Matt Striker's interview style. Very friendly.

They should start adding ppvs, nah mean, nah sayin??

James Diesel

If they did do PPV's they'd most likely be heavily edited ones prior to the past 5 years. Or some stupid shit like that

Edited down to 99 minutes.
Seems a little too soon for this to be out considering the way it's done. Anyone that's watched wrestling in the past 5 years knows who every one of the people are and the format is just a summary of their accolades between 2000-2009. So just know what to expect. Also, no matches.

WWE's Top 50 OMG Moments is currently on Netflix Streaming right now

I believe it's just the countdown part and not the matches that are on Disc 2

GD
09-22-2011, 05:52 PM
Majority of the WWE digital titles contain only the "main" disc part and exclude all the other discs which may contain matches and bonus features.

Some of the actual DVD documentary parts are cut down too, like the Nitro DVD.

Seems like these independent bookers will pair any 2 guys that have some sort of recognition.

I mean, a Kevin Sullivan and Billy Gunn tag team?

Top 50 OMG Moments is almost unwatchable due to the "Oh my God" voice-over during the countdown.

Seth82

yeah I watched that Card Subject To Change

depressing as hell

the Trent Acid scenes were strange since he's now dead

he claimed he'd been clean 11 months

strange to see guys like Kamala or Kevin Sullivan who wrestled in front of thousands now wrestling in front of a few hundred

That card subject to change movie was pretty funny actually. I've been to those shit Indy shows with old washed up bums and some of them are so pathetic that it's funny. Wooooooooooooooo!

Card Subject to Change documentary was interesting, sad and funny all rolled into one. Quite sad to see some of these guys continue to sacrifice for a little extra cash and such a small chance to make it to the big show.

Wow, I saw this photo just now (though I'd seen it before, obviously), and for some reason I kept staring at it and staring at it, and all these memories of matches between the guys in this cover came rushing back.

Awesome.

I've always hated it when people are like "Wrestling will never be like it was during the mid to late 90's and early 2000's", but...they just may be right. Damn.
