I am a huge fan of Jerry Jarrett's territory in Memphis

Jerry Lawler of course was his top star

Their lead announcer Lance Russell could make anything seem great

This is perhaps one of my favorite angles they ever did

Great Stuff here as The Dream Machine blows up after Lance Russell plays a video of him and then he attacks Lance who legend has it had no idea what was gonna happen

Lance didn't like to be let in on what they were gonna do so as you can see he geniunely sold it

A historic concession stand brawl erupts after an AWA Southern Tag Team Title match which took place in Tupelo, Mississippi featuring the Blond Bombers (Wayne Farris, Larry Latham) challenging the current tag team champs, Jerry Lawler and Bill Dundee.

After a bloody and brutal match, the Blond Bombers end up winning the tag team title but Lawler and Dundee aren't satisfied and actually steal the belts away from the new champs. The resulting fight spills over into the concession stand bringing the entire house crowd with it.

Yeah he basically did the Mr McMahon character before he did it in WWF

the WWF was the heels why Memphis were of course the faces

Most of his storyline is on Youtube just search McMemphis and you should find it

I can't say I've ever had any interest in Jerry Lawler. No real reason, I've just never been impressed....so watching a promotion built on him and his 832 title reigns seems like it might suck. I can't view the videos though, so all I can go on is your description of the promotion which involves Jerry Lawler wrestling alot and winning alot. I wish DLVH were here to give me a complete synopsis...

eh the Memphis tv stuff is easy to find

I recently purchased the 1981 season set of Memphis Wrestling tv for 54 dollars

at a site called 70stvdotcom

the guy has a bunch of other Memphis dvd season sets and compilationsGotta love USWA, Ive got several seasons of memphis tv but my problem is you dont get the collisium matches. you get the build up but not the blow off. I was watching some angle...pretty sure it was the deal in 92 when they did the angle where Wolfie D gets his eye taken out and Jamie Dundee is trying to get revenge. Anyway Wolfie makes the big return the blow off is set for the Coillisium and i remember thinking...man...i would totally drive to the collisium right now to see the blow off right now.

Fun Fact they still run shows there every Tuesday.
