View Full Version : Why doesn't Vince get credit for everything?

Yeah, I asked it. All these people that want to say Vince is this kind of devil or that kind of devil are foolish and ungrateful wash ups or IWC fans that have never sat in the front row let alone been in a wrestling locker room. Vince created everything and everybody. Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, HHH, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, etc. etc. were ALL somewhere else first, then Vince took them and shot them to the moon. And if he didn't create the wrestler or ever have them under his employment, let's face it, his successes up north allowed the wrestling business to boom elsewhere and allowed them to make money. All his home grown talent failed the minute they moved away from home, Bret Hart comes to mind, I wonder if the 3 million a year was still worth it Hitman, he's been sucking gas ever since he turned in his release papers in 1997.

So why is Vince bashed? Hated? Blamed? Every POST we make relates to Vince some how I bet! He should be praised, Vince is WRESTLING. Period.

So why isn't he given credit for everything?

A parody of a parody is not interesting. Even if the thread was meant to be serious.

Well then here is a serious answer- I doubt there is anyone here who actually doesn't respect Vince.

....and yes I am aware Bret started in Stampede Wrestling, but no one was watching, so I still consider him to be WWE homegrown on the surface.

Let me get this straight. He's an undead funeral parlor director who can't feel pain and gets his power from a jar? That's fucking stupid.

You want a balding, bleach blond, preachy, jingoistic, high functioning autistic male stripper to carry the company? I said I wanted wrestling to go national.

He deserves all the credit in the world for his accomplishments but let's not forget that he was a fucking tyrant that went back on his fathers word and buried the territories. I'd say that's probably grounds for hatred to some. I have a feeling that it would've eventually happened anyway though, especially because none of the owners could get on the same page to fight a common enemy.

You're fucking with me now right? Two white nerds and a fat dude in a thong are gonna dance around to hip hop music? Yeah, you need to retire, old man.

I'm sorry Paul, I hear what you're saying, but even billed at 7 feet tall, we don't see you as a big enough player to ever earn main event money or be able to put guys over.

And then, having ripped the territories apart by offering the biggest stars a guaranteed contract with more money, he goes on to whine about those same tactics when Bischoff and Turner employed them at WCW, whilst trying to present WWE as a small, family-run business.

Gotta love the guy just for that.

You are aware that he was upset about WCW stealing his creations correct? Not the human being their-selves, these people became rock stars, and instead of WCW signing them and putting money into the machine to develop them they just left them with the same gimmick. Vince never stole the characters, he signed a wrestler with untapped potential and incorrectly used and shot them to the moon.
