Sure, the last season fizzled out... but I figure... ARMCHAIR WARFARE was probably the most interesting thing on the wrestling forum in 2010. So! Let's see if there is any interest for another go around!

But this isn't just going to "another season"... this will be...

The greatest match-ups haven't happened... yet!

In addition to being able to draft from today's modern rosters, you will be able to draft select names from wrestling's past! Which par for the "fantasy" nature of this thing, we will assume are in their primes (unless you want to write it otherwise). I am not sure how exactly I will choose the names from the past to include in this, but first thing is to see if there is any interest in actually taking part.

I think another major change this season is that I think I would like to have "booking teams" of two rather than a single booker. The division of labor is up to the team. One can do all the writing, or they can split up the segments. The bottom line is, if one disappears, hopefully the other one can finish. The problem with this, of course, is finding at least 10 people interested in booking. Then hoping that BOTH don't disappear.

Anyways, the rules are pretty simple:

1) If you are interested in booking or judging sign up in this thread.
2) 5 booking teams will be selected at random. (or would you guys rather sign up with somebody on your team already?)
3) They will create a company name and "draft" 20 -25 wrestlers for their show.
4) You book 4 weeks of 2 Hour TV shows leading to your big pay off at a 3 hour PPV.
5) Your show will be judged primarily by the official judges who will rank the shows 1 - 5. Points are given based on these rankings. There will also be a Public Poll from which you can gain Bonus points.
6) The company with the highest points total following the PPV Round will win the competition.

For reference, these are the shows from Season One:

TV Week 1 - http://www.tpww.net/forums/showthread.php?t=104844
TV Week 2 - http://www.tpww.net/forums/showthread.php?t=105103

TV Week 4 - http://www.tpww.net/forums/showthread.php?t=105983
PPV Round - http://www.tpww.net/forums/showthread.php?t=107038

Season Two:

Week 1: http://www.tpww.net/forums/showthread.php?t=107793
Week 2: http://www.tpww.net/forums/showthread.php?t=108091
Week 3 + Some Week 4: http://www.tpww.net/forums/showthread.php?t=108476
More Week 4 + 1 PPV: http://www.tpww.net/forums/showthread.php?t=110104

So, any interest guys? Want to book? Want to judge? Feedback on the idea of an "All-Stars" season? Like the idea of a two-man booking team? Anything else you think should be different this season?

I'd be interested in doing this again even though I didn't do too well last time, surely this time I'd do better :P

Oh LJ you are a glutton for punishment.

Whilst I loved Armchair Warfare and love the idea of this All Stars version, I am loathe to trust any of the guys that have signed up so far.

Loads of people sign up and...that's it. You hear nothing from them in the thread, they don't wanna judge and if they did wanna judge but didn't get selected they damn sure won't participate in the public poll. Then of course the guys that do get booking/judging roles end up drifting away after 2 whole weeks.

I'll throw my name in the hat for a role of some kind but I fuly expect this to crash and burn by Week 2...just like it did last time.

Yours sincerely

Yeah, I dunno. This will probably end in disaster. If it even gets enough people in the first place.

Maybe it would have been better to do this in the summer when people supposedly have more free time. Season 1 was in the summer, and seemed to go much better than season 2.

You mean apart from almost never seeing the PPVs, right?

I wish you all the luck LJaw as I think the concept is great, just seems that Season 2 was a total wash out. Week 2 shows arriving past deadline, Week 3 shows not arriving at all, offiical judges votes not being placed and absolutely nobody voting on the public poll.

Regardless, if it does get off the ground and you want to bend my ear on my experiences of running the game or even a hand in running this one, just drop me a PM to the usual address :y:.

How about making 3 teams of 4 people each, with each person responsible for 1 week and one of them also books the PPV? This way there wont be a loss of interest over time (hopefully) and we will end up with hilarity when people follow different trends over time. Hell, it might even end up on TNA some day :shifty:

Hey I fully participated in season 2...

<font color=goldenrod>Too busy to book and/or judge. I expect that the same is true for most people here.

Great concept, but it's likely to flop. You're probably better off running a multiple-person game in EWR or TEW.</font>

I'm fully ready to participate, hope I get it. Cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!

XL

Yeah, you said that last time.

What if you DON'T get in? The game needs as much support from those that aren't "officially" partaking as those that are.

Did ANY of you even read my suggestion? http://www.tpww.net/forums/images/icons/icon8.gif

Lock Jaw

Sure. Find 12 people who want to book and we'll do it.

It was a stretch to even think of five two-person teams.

BizarroKing

Let's make it first come first served this time in who gets to book. First 10 or so get to be bookers and then we randomly pair them up in teams of two.

I don't really have time to judge and give reviews but I will vote in the public poll and get drunk with power.

I'd judge but I'm currently not in a position time-wise to book.

Lock Jaw

Yeah, don't know if there is enough serious interest to do this right now.

Please.
