I just read on the front page that the WWE considers the Undertaker as "retired" and that he wouldn't compete until the next 'Mania.

So what the fuck happened to showcasing a superstar? Give the Undertaker a program that gets him involved in a multi-man situation. A tag match at the least. That way whoever he partners with can do the brunt of the work, tag in the Deadman, he hits his spots, people go nuts, storyline sold.

I thought this was a business about making money. The Undertaker is money. You can't teach getting people to cheer you when you come out.

So what happened to showcasing a superstar in entertainment (wrestling)

On a side note. For any and all people that read these "dirtsheets" and are "involved" with the business, in my opinion, Christian is money. I was fully prepared to watch Smackdown with Christian as the World Champion, but since they took the strap off, I will continue to not watch the show.

You and the network of Peeps should have watched it when he was champ to help spike the ratings, and then quit watching next week so ratings would dip with Orton's victory.

I'm not sure what you actually mean here, but Taker doesn't NEED to showcase his moves any more, everyone knows what he can do. The guy just needs to show up and walk to the ring and roll his eyes back in his head for the monster pop.

On the other hand you can showcase a guy who's not already over or is getting over, having Primo Colon come in and do five moves of doom isn't going to pop anybody because nobody gives a shit about Primo. Guys like Del Rio and Sin Cara, who were built up and pushed using promos before they even debuted, have been showcased pretty well in-ring.

I'm pretty sure Taker only appearing at Wrestlemania and attracting more "buys" is more important than drawing a .2 bump in Smackdown's rating.
