Got into an argument with a friend the other day about how I'm not a fan of Ocarina of Time.
He couldn't get his head around it that I just didn't like Ocarina but loved Windwaker. He then went off on one, made me listen to all of the OoT music and compare it to Windwakers. He seems to be holding a grudge against me for it now, always says my opinion doesn't mean shit.

Anyway...

What games which are acclaimed to me amazing, just aren't your cup of tea?

I never really got all of the love for the Mass Effect games, but I used to love WCW Thunder years ago so who am I to criticize anything.

Since EA covered that in his first post, are you just being pedantic?

Anyway, never enjoyed a single 3D Zelda game. I keep hearing they're all amazing, but *yawn*

I enjoy pretty much any beat 'em up with fluid controls, including Dynasty Warriors and even Onechanbara to some extent. I don't care if it's the same shit every game, I play the Smackdown series and nobody complains about that....

I hate the Halo Series, Guitar Hero Series, World Of Warcraft Series and I'm sure there's more but I can't think of them right now.

I don't know about bad games though. But everyone keeps saying how bad WWE Crush Hour was but I quite enjoyed the game.

I really enjoyed Too Human, on the 360. I loved Final Fantasy 9, which was pretty much overlooked by everyone...

It may shock you, but I'm not a fan of modern FPS

As for bad games... Deadly Premonition is still one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had with a game. Twin Peaks the game.

I find COD games dull, but loved AVP.

"Good" games I hate/dislike:
-CoD/MW series, so dull and samey.

-Halo series, just not my thing, I've no huge problem with it. I can't tell the games apart they look that similar.

-GoW, same as above. I saw a video of the new Gow and everything was sandy brown. I'm not exaggerating. Every single thing from the people/armour to the ground to the guns were sandy brown. I saw older GoW vids and they were all brown, or all grey and so on.

-MoH after MoH: Underground. Series took a kamakazi nose dive from then on.

-Tony Hawk with the board thing. When they showed off the skateboard peripheral, it was like watching the series walk into traffic. It got hurt pretty badly and may never walk again.

-Any FPS that insists on forcing "Squad based tactics/gameplay" on me. I don't want AI team mates. Give me a gun, objectives, a destination and let me get on with it by myself. Variation and colour wouldn't go amiss either.

"Bad" games I love/like:
-Duke Nukem Forever. People complained that it shouldn't have been modernised. Then they get to a bit that wasn't modernised and say it is outdated. The game's fun but not perfect. It's as close to a modern FPS as I can get and still enjoy it. Until TS4, of course :shifty:.

-Bionic Commando (2009). The vast majority of people hated the game but I loved it. Gameplay was fun, music was great, story was cool (and obviously intended to be just the first half of it. Now I'll never get a sequel). My only issues were changing Spencers look and everyone being unbelievably angsty.

Too Human was okay. Didn't deserve the hate it gets, but I didn't particularly like it that much.

Gonna have to buy a HD cable for my Wii to stop being so blurry...
Why the fuck is it, that SD is so shit on the Wii when using a HD tv...?
