View Full Version : Do Inked up Wrestlers fit in the PG Era?

Wrestlers like CM Punk, Batista, even Randy Orton have numerous tattoos covering their bodies.

My question is, can they be INKED up and be relevant in the PG Era?

Yep

That's a pretty ridiculous question

Of course. Look at THE UNDERTAKER.

Also, Punk and Orton.

Not at all. They are dirty and unprofessional-looking. They should all be sent to a camp for re-education on respecting their bodies.

Xero, you voted no!

But even good ol' HBK has tats!

Even Hogan!

CM Punk is a much more respectable-looking man without all those silly-willy tattoos.

Mildly interesting since it's kind of relevant but despite having guys like Orton and Punk in hugely prominent positions, I know of at least one person being told his tattoos (keep in mind he's covered more than Punk) make it unlikely they'd take him because it limits what they can potentially do with him.

They also had problems with MVP's tattoos, and that's why he was a Power Ranger. But that was more because of the content of the tats than the idea of him having tats where he did.

Orton's also a different case because he got the majority of his after he was hired. I would imagine he would have cleared it with the office first, just because something like tats and even just a hair cut can change a character's look drastically. I do wonder if tattoos after hiring are covered in contracts.

They have to get them approved from what I have "read".

Brock: Hey Vince, can I get a giant Penis-Sword tattooed on my chest? I think it would be BADDASS!

Vince: What? Even I know that's a terrible idea! No!

Brock: Screw you! I'm leaving!

Gonna just come out and say it: I believe inked up wrestlers fit in the PG Era.

That's bound to be true for guys under contract, I imagine one of the only things capable of taking down Vince McMahon is the thought of John Cena showing up to work with a multi-coloured sleeve

Since Cena occasionally swears, the poster child of the PG era in the WWE has been Rey Mysterio. And that caramel midget is caked in tattoos.

Is it coincidence that TAEF posts this thread the same day that Ryan Clark has BREAKING NEWS on CM Punks new tattoo?

I guess I would say yes seeing as how all of the wrestlers listed have been relevant in the PG Era...

:wtf: @ this question.

Tattoos are TV-14. I know this because Tyler knows this.

As far as wrestlers needing permission to get themselves inked during while under contract...I seem to recall Renee Dupree coming out a few years ago complaining about the fact that he was not allowed to get tat's while under contract.

I don't care if they do or not, I'm just ready for an end to the family friendly wrestling, end the PG era

If you saw the state of Dupree now, you would understand why they said no.

There's a potentially interesting discussion somewhere in all this, but not as it was originally worded.
