View Full Version : Create-a-Stable Game

OK, let's just play a little game. Come up with a stable that is potentially available to the WWE, give it a name, etc. Then, taking a member from that stable come up with another one.

RULES:
1. Take only one wrestler from the first stable.
2. Feel free to use talent from OVW.
3. No existing stables.
4. One independant wrestler allowed per stable.
5. No inter-brand stables(unless it's their gimmick). So all of a sudden Bubba Ray Dudley can't be on RAW.
6. Stable must be face or heel, not both.
7. One per post, must wait until another has been posted before you post again.
8. You can repeat wrestlers, just not back to back.
9. Try to be realistic, yet creative.

OK, I'll kick it off with:

Name: Christian Enterprises
Members: Christian, Tyson Tomko, Trish Stratus, Dean Malenko & Joey Matthews
Brand: RAW
Face/Heel: Heel
Gimmick/Description: Dean Malenko's wave of the future. Basically Malenko shows up coaching Christian, groooming him to be better than his old friend/rival, Chris Benoit. Christian and Tomko start using the Texas Cloverleaf as a finisher. Joey Matthews debuts as Christian's apprentice, and starts feuding with Edge, while Christian feuds with Benoit and Tomko with Chris Jericho. Lance Storm gets involved when we here Malenko talking about failed Canadian superstars. Eventually we see a Christian/Tomko/Matthews/Malenko vs. Benoit/Jericho/Edge/Storm match at Survivor Series. We also see a Matthews IC Title reign and a Christian/Tomko World Tag Team Title reign. Eventually Tomko and Matthews share the tag titles, too.

Wave of the Future

Leader: Randy Orton
Other members: Batista, Johnny Nitro, Maven, and A.J. Styles
Face/Heel: Heel

Gimmick: Arrogant young a**holes who think that they are the sh** and that's it's time for all the veterans to step aside and make "WAVE" (HAHA get it?) for the new generation.

Team Boring

Leader: Lance Storm (more as a manager)
Other members: RVD, Kidman, The Big Show
Heel

Gimmick: Members make an attempt to wrestle and give promos that bore the crowd because a) they are tired of getting boring chants or b) they are tired of only being over for death defying spots

BTW I'm counting Lance as an OVW guy as hes done with Raw

Disciples of Kane

Leader: Kane
Other Members: Lita, Kidman, Paul London, Rhyno

In a surprise heel turn, Lita turns on Matt after she is enamoured by Kane's animalistic sensuality. Or perhaps it's hypnosis. (Hey, is it any more ludicrous than Kane shooting out fireballs?) This sets up a Kane vs. Hardy match, where... out of nowhere ... GORE! GORE! Rhyno, who has been seduced by Kane's promise that he'll win the Intercontental title with his help, becomes a Disciple. Soon, Paul London and Kidman make the jump from Smackdown to join Kane because ... well, they look kinda Goth, and we need four guys to lift Kane's Throne of Skulls to the ring. Yes, a Throne of Skulls, from which a trail of fire follows from behind.

And, from his Throne in the center of the ring, Kane pulls Dr. Doom-like promos, with that black towel draped over his head, and commanding his Disciples the next target to destroy.

Face/Heel: Heel
Gimmick: Umm, I'll place the Gimmick up later.

Name: Extreme Championship Wrestlers
Members: Tazz, Bubba Ray Dudley, D-Von Dudley, Nunzio, Nova, The Sandman
Brand: RAW/SmackDown!
Face/Heel: Heel
Gimmick: Paul Heyman offers a deal to any ECW wrestlers out there that want to join him. Being officially drafted to RAW, he's allowed to manager and bring any amount of wrestlers to RAW as he wants. Paul also makes a deal with Kurt Angle that says Paul Heyman's stable can appear on RAW or SD!. All the heel ex-ECWers join the stable and get pushed as sort of not rAW stars, but not SD! stars.

Name: The Specialists
Members: Chris Nowinski, Tommy Dreamer, Maven, John Heidnereich, (with guest appearances by Eugene)
Brand: Raw
Face/Heel: Heel
Gimmick: After Nowinski's return, he claims that he is smarter than ever because the only thing he could do was study while he was away. Tommy Dreamer comes out with a kendo stick and we think he's going to beat Nowinski down, but he doesn't. Nowinski tells everyone that his feud with Dreamer is over after the two had a long talk and decided that they'd be better off together with Nowinski's brains and Dreamer's hardcore abilities. The two hire themselves out as hitmen, kinda like the APA, but they attack people rather than protect them.

Later, after a failed attempt to beat up A-train, the two realize that they need a big man to take out other big guys. They hold "tryouts" but the only 2 people to show up are Eugene, who heard they wanted "special people", and Heidenreich, who thinks it is a suveneire stand (he wants to get Little Johnny a Heidenreich shirt, but couldn't find one at any of the other stands around the building.) The very confused Heidenreich ends up getting talked into becoming a part of this new stable and still doesn't get that t-shirt for little Johnny....

Later, after a particularly busy business day (A whopping FOUR people want somebody beaten up but "The specialists" only have three guys at their disposal) Nowinski decides to expand. The three think and think until Nowinski remembers that one guy who he worked with on Tough Enough. The guy who knocked the Undertaker out of the Royal Rumble: Maven. They talk Maven into joining (again, Eugene is there hoping they'd accept him too, but they don't).

The Specialists are good for comedic roles, and even though they suck in the ring they'd dominate in backstage "hits" because of Nowinski's planning and everyone else's special skills. Mostly, however, it's a good place to put guys who aren't getting much airtime on TV without making them into total jobbers.

So much for using one of the first wrestlers. But oh well. Here is my ideal stable:

Name: The Hold Down
Members: The Rock, Triple H, Randy Orton, Chris Benoit, Shawn Michaels
Description: The objective is to hold everyone down until they have buried the rest of the roster. First, The Rock will cut a promo about them, totally destroying them with some reference to God. Then, Shawn Michaels will Superkick them frequently for no real reason at all in the middle of all their matches. Then Benoit will make them tap in back-to-back matches. Then, Randy Orton will beat them clean in their own match. Then Triple H will end their career in some cage.

They will also frequently participate in 5 on 1 Handicap Matches with the likes of Tajiri, Eugene, Hurricane, Kane, Matt Hardy, etc.

The Super Friends

Leader: The Hurricane
Members: Mighty Molly, Rosey, Nova, Eugene
Face

Gimmick: Pretty self explanatory

Savio
05-03-2004, 09:10 PM
Split Stable: nWo, Big Shots
Kane, Undertaker, Big show (when he comes back) Batista, A-train, Tyson Tomco, Johnny "the bull" (just have nuzio as a loose alli), and maybe down the road have Rosey join.

After like 5 months have them join each other on Smackdown.

Name: The Disciples of Darkness
Members: Kane, Mordecai, Raven, Edge, Christian & Synn
Brand: RAW
Gimmick: Kane does a promo where he talks about the dark force he will bring into the WWE, one that will destroy Lita, and be with Kane as his lover. It turns out to be Synn, who brings with her Mordecai & Raven. She manages to play mind games on Edge & Christian to get them to join. Many other wrestlers are tempted, like Bane and the Leviathan, but they resist and make an alliance against Synn, along with Matt Hardy and Lita.
