Nintendo released a Zelda artbook in Japan for the 25th anniversery and one of the pages talked about a timeline. Nintendo had always said there was a time line but had previously refused to tell us what it was.
Thanks to the art book, overseen by Eiji Aonuma, we now know the official time line.

So, does this fit anyones thoughts on what the time line was? Contradictions? Predictions for where they'd take the time line next?

lol

"Oh shit, we better reveal that timeline we pretended we had!"

Mario is split over 4 timelines that all altered on the outcome for the first Mario Tennis tournament.

I prefer to think about them as games in isolation than looking at that trainwreck.
