Anybody mod the system they have?

Just wondering if it was easy, how'd you do it etc

I modded my old XBox. That's about it.

Modded the Wii and my PSP. Both were pretty easy.
I modded the Wii to play my games off a hard drive. Modded the PSP to be able to play homebrew and emulators.
The Wii is insanely easy in my opinion. There is a lot of tutorials all over the net with videos, descriptions, etc.
I thought the PSP was a bit harder so I did it together with a friend who had done it before. Still, not that hard. Lots of tutorials out there.

I've modded a PS1, a few PSPs, a DS Lite (modded firmware flash, no longer needed), a Gamecube, a Wii (hardmod), a Xbox, a PS3, and a fair amount of 360s. About the only thing I never succeeded in modding was a PS2, because the modchip had somewhere around 18 solder points and I was nowhere near the skill level for the job. I got someone else to mod the PS2, and it's still working (though I have to play games off the hard drive with the laser out).

I've stopped playing copies for the most part though. Got tired of getting banned from XBL and having to update firmware with all the new security measures MS are putting in. And I only modded my PS3 to play Uncharted 1 from the hard drive since the game froze at the same place every time on my disc copy. I unmodded it after finishing the game. I do like having these old systems around to try old stuff on still, though.

And hey, I fixed the rumble on my PS2 controllers by soldering a new fuse on the motherboard. I guess that counts.

I soft modded my Wii with the Homebrew Channel.

Apparently I need to update the modded 360 I'm using before I can play any recent games. Google tells me I'd have to flash the drive back to stock, update, and then re-flash it, but given this is just a system I'm borrowing from my dad while mine is useless I have noooo idea how to do all this. Laaaaame
