I'm a huge danielson mark so I'd really like to see a good 20 min match with someone who can work. Its shaping up to be him v Henry or big show or both. Would be kind of amazing to see him retain against two giants.

I Am thinking they will turn him heel on smackdown this week. So what does that add to the dynamic?

Tyler Reks or Shannon Moore.

Providing Orton comes back in time for Elmination Chamber at the latest he will be in the Heavyweight Title match. Probably against Barrett.

Yeah, he should probably be in the dark match again. Bumped for Snooki II: Electric Boogaloo.

What Would Kevin Do?

I expected Gertner's reply would be something like "AIDS."

Seriously though, with Rock vs Cena, and the rumored HHH vs Taker and Punk vs Jericho, I'd love to see Daniel Bryan vs Wade Barrett. I think given the history, it could have a great build up.

I haven't seen any reason why he should hold the title into Mania.

If, for some reason, he is champion, it should probably be Henry or Barrett if he's face. If he's heel, Sheamus.

Now, if he isn't champion (which is very likely), honestly, there's not a lot I can think of off the top of my head. If he's still in the position he is now (sans title) he shouldn't be in there with anyone of worth. Guys like Ziggler or Cody would make great opponents for a Daniel Bryan who has steam behind him, but right now he'd pull them down. I guess Regal is an option, or thrown into some multi-man match.

If he doesn't have the title but is worth a shit by that time, Orton could be an interesting opponent.

Triple H.

Match :

Daniel Bryan makes his entrance.

ITS TIME TO PLAY THE GAME.
HHH walks to the ring, no sells Bryan's offense, Pedigree... 3 - 2 - 1, new champ!

Well seeing as there are rumors of Shaq facing BS @ Mania, I doubt Bryan's gonna drop the belt to him. With Orton out of action, it's unlikely he'll fight but then again who knows. Maybe it'll be Barrett or Sheamus, or even Henry...

Or for a epic twist...

With Show most likely facing Shaq, and Orton out indefinitely I'd say Bryan has a fair chance of retaining the title to mania. Possible Barrett vs Bryan match with Barrett coming out on top could be interesting. I mean hell, WWE seem to actually be serious for once about pushing some of the new talent so why not try to elevate Bryan and Barrett? Besides with all the 'Big' matches this year it's not like it would hurt the ppv buys.

Mr. Pierre

Bryan will probably be in some opening tag match, and Barrett will probably defend against Randy Orton.

Top:

1. Cody Rhodes for the World Heavyweight Championship.
2. Michael Cole. (If DB loses the title probably due to cole interference)
3. William Regal for the World Heavyweight Championship.
4. Tyler Black or Dean Ambrose (either as Suprise Winner of the Royal Rumble?)

TBH, i think Bryan will be involved in the world title picture, but the match would be a three / four way, to beef up the casual fan's interest in the match. I don't see Bryan walking out the champ at Mania though.

Maybe a Bryan / Orton / Barrett / Mysterio (when is he back?) permutation & combination?

Mr. Nerfect
01-04-2012, 03:16 AM
No way would it ever happen, and it probably shouldn't happen -- but Daniel Bryan vs. Shawn Michaels as a one-off HBK appearance would be really cool. It'd feel like Mania, at least.

Slightly more realistically, though, Daniel Bryan vs. Chris Jericho would be my pick. As many have pointed out, Bryan's first match in the WWE was a match against Chris Jericho where Jericho was the reigning World Heavyweight Champion. It would add symmetry. I really don't have too much interest in seeing Punk vs. Jericho, either. Not because it won't be awesome (it would be), but just because there's not so much "story" there. Would rather see Orton challenge Punk than Daniel Bryan. That way, Bryan can have his moment defeating Chris Jericho and Punk can beat the man he lost to at WrestleMania the previous year (which was a feud three years in the making itself).

Even more realistically, I don't think the WWE will have Daniel Bryan head into the main event of WrestleMania by himself. I can see him in the main event, definitely, but I think he'll have numerous opponents. A Fatal 4-Way seems likely, since I can't see them leaving Randy Orton, Sheamus and Wade Barrett out of the SmackDown! main event scene with how they have been recently booked. The same goes for Mark Henry, to be frank -- but I think he'll do something else entirely.

I would not complain about Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler, either. Just saying.

On TPWW, it's not a joke unless you fully explain it, annotating as appropriate, and get it approved by the IWC General Assembly. Any subtlety such as not explaining the joke in minute detail will nto be tolerated.

Should "subtlety" be put in quotes? After all, I'm trying to indicate that the general structure of a joke is generally too subtle for this board, not that it's actually subtle.

I don't think there's anyway that Bryan gets a one-on-one match at Mania for the belt. If he's still champion, I think he could defend against Orton, Barrett, and Rhodes in a 4 man elimination match. Normally clusters for the World Title at Mania are blah, but SD doesn't have much of a marquee Mania match in sight.

Didn't need to be told. You weren't doing it right, bro. You're not this ultimate satire machine (he SNAPPED!), as much as you may like to pride yourself on it. I had a dream a couple days ago about wrestlemania and it basically went like this..

Jericho wins the Rumble and wants to face Punk for the WWE title.
Wade Barrett wins some sort of Smackdown tournament or whatever to be #1 contender for the WHC.

Somehow, it gets decided that its a unfication tourney similar to when Jericho unified the WWF and WCW belts. Each of the first matches would be on the card early and then the Unification match would be the match before Rock/Cena.

Dont remember what happened though, but you could obviously get several intriguing Unification matches including DB vs Jericho (solid match), DB vs Punk (friends) or Barrett vs Jericho (NXT Pro vs Rookie, teacher vs student) or Punk vs Barrett (all that Nexus crap)

It obviously makes sense to unify the belts if they're going to keep up with RAW/SD being cobrand shows.

They could keep the split going for longer, but that doesn't sound like a bad way to end things. If they were going to unify the titles, though, I think they'd begin the story of that leading out of WrestleMania. Punk and Bryan, let's say, leave WrestleMania as the champions and then on RAW the story is used to hook people in for Extreme Rules and such.

If they turn Daniel Bryan heel, I would not mind seeing Bryan defend against a babyface Mark Henry. After the 2011 he had, Henry would not be lacking in credibility. They could easily throw two more guys into that match and make it a Fatal 4-Way, or something. How about Randy Orton and Wade Barrett?
