View Full Version : Gimmick Battle Royal at WrestleMania 28?

If the WWE has any plans for a gimmick battle royal this year, who would you want in this match? The members of my ideal WM28 gimmick battle royal are:

Disciples of Apocalypse (Chainz, 8-Ball, & Skull), Goldust, Mean Street Posse, Perry Saturn, Rikishi, Road Dogg, Steve Blackman, The Godfather, The Headbangers, Vader, and Val Venis

Currently, there’s a lot going on in the Road to WrestleMania. You got Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk, Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus, then you have John Cena vs. The Rock, then of course, The Undertaker vs. Triple-H, so maybe they can add a battle royal to calm the tension in between matches.

I'd rather just see the actual pre-show battle royal bumped onto the main card instead of the hour of promo packages before each match, despite already purchasing the PPV for these same matches and don't need them them to influence our decisions any more.....

well I think technically they're supposed to be hype videos to get you pumped up, but yeah they don't really do that all the time

every so often they get it right though

I loved the Gimmick Battle Royale at WMX7.

If they did it again I'd like to see Jimmy Wang Yang, Billy & Chuck, Raven, Hurricane, Rikishi, Scotty 2 Hotty amongst the field.

The possibilities are endless, and there's an element of nostalgia. They could even get JR to come out and do play-by-play with King (while Booker and Cole remain silent).

Yeah, I like most of the names on here. I'd like to see... Right to Censor, maybe just Steven and Bull Buchanan...have Godfather be Godfather. Maven...he had awesome theme music. Whoever you want from the Spirit Squad, COLIN DELANEY, although 95% of the people won't know who he is, and...Rico.

WrestleMania X-7 featured 80s and early 90s gimmicks - enough time has passed to include Attitude era gimmicks for another battle royal. Plus, many of them will be in better shape than Iron Shiek.

If they did do one, I'd like to see some of the following in there:

* A-Train
* Big Daddy V
* Billy Kidman
* Colin Delaney
* Deuce
* Domino
* Dude Love
* Eugene
* Finlay
* Irwin R. Shyster
* Funaki (if his neck is all good)
* Gangrel
* Goldust
* The Hurricane
* Jamie Noble
* Jimmy Wang Yang
* Joey Mercury
* John Bradshaw Layfield
* John Morrison
* Kevin Thorn
* Marcus Cor Von
* Marty Jannetty
* Matt Striker
* Maven
* Norman Smiley
* Nunzio
* Papa Shango
* Rikishi
* Road Dogg
* Scotty 2 Hotty
* Steve Blackman
* Steven Richards (using the Right to Censor gimmick)
* Sylvan
* Tajiri
* Taka Michinoku
* The Brian Kendrick
* Tommy Dreamer
* Ultimo Dragon
* Vader
* Val Venis (although I read he has some heat with the company, sadly)

I read recently that he was being trained to be an agent/producer.

I'm giving out random awards.

You get two.
one for this post ( in the form of white Rep.)
and one for yr avatar ( in the form of this really dumb post)

Congrats!

I read recently that he was being trained to be an agent/producer.

Are we talking Val Venis? He was being used as a producer for a few months, and you could see some of his moves pop-up in Cody Rhodes' repetoir, for example. But then he did some shitty "shoot" videos on Matt Hardy and is apparently "blackballed" from the WWE, or something.

It's a shame, because while he was there, Morley reportedly had a great attitude. He was a champion seller and had all the tools to become a top agent for the WWE. If he had stuck with the company in an active wrestling role, I would have loved to have seen Val Venis as a Pro on NXT.

What did he say? He could've had a position for life. Shame.

I think he actually made this one while under WWE contract:

I believe these ones may have been post-release:

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/N7SWb-lH86g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Ufzi49Q2PR4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It's such a shame, because he could have been a lifer, as you said.
