I thought of this recently, and can only think of one (Alex Wright).
I'm sure there had to be others - what German wrestlers are around that wrestled for a big promotion like WWE/WCW?
Ulf Hermann worked for ECW, had tryouts for Vince and is still doing the European "circuit" last I heard, they had a Turkish-German bloke tryout a few years back, Vigo the Carpathian from Ghostbusters II was a wrestler at one point :o

Eric Schwarz started out in Canada and had a tryout with WWE during their tour of Germany in 2005 and Karsten Kretschmer had a tryout with TNA during their German tour in 2009.

He was also an accomplished boxer as well.

Karsten Kretschmer is an asshole. Just wanted to share that. Legitimately don't like him.
I think we need to stop this thread and talk about how Vigo the fucking Carpathian was a wrestler. That is epic shit right there.

That is always in debate, but I'm guessing either Frank or Karl Gotch.

By the way my Karsten Kretschmer comment wasn't to be a dick. I've legit, had a 'run-in' with KK, and don't like him one bit.

the name "German Suplex" came from one of the Gotch's, the move was around before that tho

It was Karl Gotch who gave it the name German Suplex.

That's cool. And Christian Eckstein had a tryout with WWE in 2003 when they held Insurrextion in England.

He may have had a German sounding last name but he only had half a foot so he doesn't count.

Otto Wanz was AWA champ - but technically he is Austrian. As I believe in the ways of old, he counts for German. And I think he spends most of his time in Germany.

Considering his promotion mainly tour all over Austria and Germany.
