I have not read the comics, so if this is what actually happens, I am not intentionally spoiling it. Just speculation on my part.

I put forth that nine months into Lori's pregnancy, Carl is gonna run off and so something stupid and get himself in danger (again). Rick will go off to save him (again), and Lori will be told to stay put. She will not listen (again), and try to go save Carl. This will then lead to another incident where she accidentally kills the baby inside of her. The baby will then turn into a zombie and chew its way out of her, and bust out and be all "OH YEAH"

Would have huge ramifications. Not only would Lori be gone, but they would learn that even new life turns to zombies after they die.

If a person is shot in the head before turning, then there is no brain activity so it's a bit hard for them to become reanimated. Makes sense when you think about it.

Well it was a heat of the moment things and if you don't die from 'accelerated' infection you will live. In the WD universe with everyone already infected (spoiler, I guess), you turn upon death rather than contact. This would make the crisis even crazier than other zombie stories. When you get get bit, it's like toxic Red Bull where you die from that and turn. The ideal strategy is to survive until a natural death whereas somebody puts you down after the fact.

So cutting off your limb could help depending on how fast the stuff spreads (guess about as virulent as a poisonous animal bite). Then again, you're disabled in a world like that...

I believe I read something about some deleted scenes (or a storyline that never got filmed) in season two where they ended up returning to the Vatos and finding that they've all turned.

I read an article about the new season that made a really good point. The nice thing about the time jump is that it's given time for the characters to come to terms with the world they're in. No more moral debates about death and the nature of life, etc. It's all about survival now. The opening scene is a great testament to that. No dialogue. Just precision, well-honed tactics.

Yeah, the episode was great in the sense of not holding our hand. My favorite scene, though very subtle, was Rick offering his bitch wife some chow - and she refused at first, only to learn that he wasn't giving an option. It was a quick character beat that I loved. Rick is through negotiating with people, it's go time. If the series can carry that on until the mid-season break, it's gonna be awesome.

And then the show remembers what it is, and gave us some gnarly walker kills. They may take a back seat to human villains this season but they're still out there waiting to get put down.

And in case anybody didn't know, the Walking Dead game is amazing. Get it. It does the brand justice.

Wouldn't that be great if that's how he dies? Most characters get dramatic scenes, even Hershel had the possibility of a great scene with him on his deathbed. But then sometime down the road the group asks "Where's Carl?" for the umpteenth time and someone near the back just casually mentions "Oh, he's dead."

And then that's it. And they move on.

I've never had a problem with Carl. I'm fine with his character and I think performance wise, he's a damn sight better than most kid actors.

I listened to 'Lori' on an interview on CBC radio and she mentioned it is one of those things the writers are aware of and that they plan to add those subtle little moments in there for the nerd fans

I dunno, I got used to/grew to love Charlie Adlard. The one thing that I find really interesting is that somewhere in the artist changeover, the models for Amy and Andrea are switched. If you look at the issue where "Amy" dies, you can see that it's very recognisably the sister that went on to be Andrea.

Michael Clark Duncan would have been great too especially if he turned zombie. He can be scary, funny and dramatic ....I miss him.

All of those heads were of zombies, except that helicopter pilot who the Govener clearly killed after he found out about the convoy. The 2 heads in the tank down and to the right of the pilot were the 2 zombies that Michonne had with her.

I think the reason he killed the army guys is to prevent any storng leaders from opposing him. Like if the Army showed up in Woodbury people might flock to them. My guess is in the show, the things that will cause the govenor to attack the Rock group is due to Rick showing up as a threat to his reign.
