*Randy Orton made his entrance to open the show. He cut a promo on Del Rio, whose music cut Orton off. They had a verbal exchange that ended with Wade Barrett attacking Orton from behind.

*Backstage, Teddy Long made a match for later tonight: Orton vs. Barrett

(1) Kane beat Cody Rhodes with a chokeslam. Daniel Bryan and Damien Sandow were on commentary.

(2) The Miz defeated Yoshi Tatsu.

*Backstage, Booker T had Eve, Aksana, Kaitlyn, and Layla in his office. Aksana said that Eve texted her and told her to attack Kaitlyn. Booker set up a tag match for later in the show and announced a triple threat match for the Divas Title at HIAC: Eve vs. Layla vs. Kaitlyn.

(3) Wade Barrett pinned Randy Orton. Alberto Del Rio ran down and distracted Orton, allowing Barrett to hit his Souvenir Elbow for the win.

(4) Eve & Aksana beat Kaitlyn & Layla.

*WWE is advertising for the HIAC pre-show that John Cena will address WWE fans about the A.J. Lee controversy.

(5) Damien Sandow pinned Daniel Bryan. Kane and Cody Rhodes were on commentary.

*Big Show and Sheamus had an in-ring interview with Josh Matthews. The two ended up fighting and had to be broken up by security to end the show.

Sounds pretty paint-by-numbers. Singles matches between participants in upcoming tag match face off with both sides winning one. Opponent for another upcoming match intereferes to cost someone their match. Blahbitty blah blee blah blah.

Cena promo on the pre-show match instead of a match is... interesting. I have a feeling nothing of note will come out of it though.

It does sound pretty bland but I'm ok with Wade Barrett's push.

I'm not a fan of top guys (more so faces) losing random, middle of the show, throwaway matches via interference as a way to hype a PPV match. It's lazy booking and it only serves to make the act of beating them seem like less of a big deal.

I miss when two guys could go into a match on PPV that wouldn't seem like a match you could just see any time as filler on Raw or Smackdown and the outcome one way or another would be a major deal.

Sounds pretty bland but interested the most for hearing Sandow and Bryan on commentary.

Another spoiler report went in more details and all the stuff not shown on tv sounded a lot more interesting than what was on tv.

Dark Match:
Johnny Curtis defeated Sami Callihan. Callihan got completely squashed. Two kicks on offense total. "Simply" Johnny Curtis, as part of his new gimmick, came out to tango music, wore shiny pants, and placed a rose on Callahan's chest after the match.

JBL made his entrance, raised Scott Armstong's hand, and proceeded to beat down Josh Matthews with his hat when Matthews went for a handshake. Hilarious.

The refs were changing the ropes for Smackdown and were taking FOREVER. A "Put the rope up" chant was started. Then, JBL grabs a mic and absolutely tears into all 4 refs. JBL promo at its best and had probably 10 arena wide "JBL" chants in support.

Is the Cena stuff going to replace the pre-show match spot?

Barrett with a big win even if it was due to a distraction is worth watching

It was meaningless. It will be like it never happened soon enough.

I'm watching Main Event right now, and I'm actually liking it. A good 1 hour of matches, little commentary, and appropriate recaps.

If we could only get RAW down to an hour a week...

I'd prefer a well formatted, orderly 3 hour show.

As would I, but a focused 1 hour show is pretty fun to watch.

One of the lines they didnt show in the video was "Tim White is rolling in his grave...and he's not even dead yet". Fantastic.

I think that they should have left Orton vs. Del Rio off the PPV card, actually, and let it simmer for a bit more.

Daniel Bryan vs. Damien Sandow has the potential to be a great match. I haven't felt inspired enough to watch it yet, though.

The reason changing the ropes took so long was because Lil' Naitch wasn't out there.

Orton seems to be putting over a lot of newer talents as of late must admit I smarked out a little when Barrett hit The Souvenir on him I hope that he will be next in line for a WHC shot.

Remember when JBL gave the NAZI salute in Germany? That was uncalled for. It was insensitive to the Jews (gods chosen people).

I don't know. It's been pretty much smooth sailing for the Jews since they murdered Jesus.
