I haven't noticed as many lately. To be honest, I can't recall the last chair shot to the head I saw in WWE.

Granted, TLC is coming up, but has anyone else noticed less chairshots and foreign weapons?

Chairshots to the head have been pretty much banned for ages, haven't they?

Only to the head. They still allow chairshots to other parts of the body.

Makes sense to ban them, especially with the introduction of Saturday Morning Slam, which has done quite well.

Personally, I'm ok with it as I think foreign weapons should be used sparingly to add to their effect.

Best usage of a chair ever was Triple H/Undertaker HIAC

All because the lack of chair shots in recent years.

Also, who would use a fucking chair? Get a hammer or a ball bat.

The Rock fucking destroyed Mick Foley's head at RR '99. He hit him 10 fucking times in the head with a chair while he was handcuffed.

Yeah he definitely did. And Mick was PISSED. Its all in the "Beyond the Mat" DVD.

Good shit right there.

Mick on the chair shots: "If I saw him right now I'd probably strangle him because he hit me so DAMN many times...."

Yes. This is like noticing a surprising lack of Kurt Angle in WWE.

Concussions and Benoit had nothing to do with it...

Looking back I'm surprised they ever did headshots, so fuckin' dangerous!

To be fair, if he didn't notice they were cutting back on them, he probably couldn't connect Chris Benoit and concussions to it in the first place.

Yeah, and I believe a lot of the reasoning for that is credited to Christopher Nowinski. I thought I read something a few years back about him doing research about the effects of chair shots to the head and correlations to concussions and such.

Honestly if it keeps the guys any safer in their jobs while they entertain us all, I'm all for it. :)
