Does anyone have any link to any videos of back in the day when wrestlers would carry on attacking other wrestlers and the bell man would still keep ringing the bell?

Me and my bro are laughing at this, but can't find fuck all.

Cheers boyz

I think the best instance of this is when a fan rang the bell after Nexus destroyed everything.

lol. I don't think I ever laughed when it happened but just thinking about the timekeeper ringing the bell repeatedly to remind the heel the match is over while he beats the fuck out of a guy now is hilarious.

I always thought it was an attempt to summon officials from the back rather than the notion of "um, Sir, you may have not noticed but this match has officially concluded." Then kind of behind that I thought the idea might have originated if a wrestler won by submission and kept the hold on, there was an idea of "hmm... maybe he's so into the heat of the moment or the crowd is so loud that he didn't hear the bell the first time..."

I remember when my brother and I would play with action figures in the old Hasbro days, if someone got jumped after a match, we would DING DING DING through the beating

I wonder if ringing the bell actually worked and the guy stopped?

Repeated comments from JR et al of "Oh come on, this is enough" come to mind too.

It was an alert that it was time for Doug Dillinger to come out and restore order.
