He said he's not saying it will be forever, but he's deciding not to resign his contract.

It'll be good for him to try the Impact zone out I guess.

IMO another case of hey, you're a 3rd Generation........and we got nothin for ya.

Another case of "all you have is your name, we gave you a shot and you did literally nothing to stand out"

Lets be honest, if he had any value they would have found something for him. In the back or on NXT or something.

If his name was Ted Smith he would have never been signed, and was never really any good. his best work came not because of himself or his skill, but because he fit into "Legacy" because of his family, and was involved in a HOT FEUD and GROUP.

I like when he was paired with maryse and started rockin the stubble, that had potential.

I also liked when he paid Primo and Carlito money in an envelope to beat someone up. He stood at the top of the ramp and gave them cash. I thought "this will be the start of something interesting" and thats LITERALLY the only night they did it. I think its a combination of lack of push and lack of strong suits.

good to know he's still alive

Meanwhile Cody, the one who everyone said would be the least successful out of Legacy has constantly been stepping his game up over the last few years...and become more and more interesting.

Not surprising since they seemed to have no intention of using him again without a major overhaul, which likely would have been a wasted effort anyway since he just never seemed to click with anything he was given post Legacy.

He was better than McGillicutty, I'll give him that.

Yeah everything that could be said has been said. He dropped the ball. Maybe he'll go find himself and come back strong someday.

Hes not the drizzling shits, but hes limited going forward. If he goes to TNA its just HEY ITS DIBIASES KID AND FORMER WWE GUY and thats all he will ever be. IF he goes back to the WWE at any point hes just a loser who came back.

He lacks the Workrate for ROH virgins as well.

Oh well. He had an OK run with the WWE. That counts for something.

Masters by a fuck ton. And I didnt like him that much.

Agree. Had two great chances with the inherited "Million Dollar Man" gimmick and then the reverse of that but neither of them stuck or helped him in the long run.

Same here. I still get a chuckle from his post-SummerSlam 2005 promo with Shawn Michaels.

Masters has worked Family Wrestling Entertainment in NY under his real name, and Dibiase could work a program with Mordetzki over there. FEW also changes title holders like every other show, so they could both hold at least the Tri Borough Title if not the Heavyweight Title.

I liked DiBiase, but yeah, he was going nowhere anyway. Remember how over he was that night when people wanted him to attack Orton, and he didn't? :(

Yeah, I get the feeling things would be majorly different now, if he did attack Orton.

Like he probably would be a two time Intercontinental Champion with decent reign lengths or something.

Rats. I was a fan. He probably got as far as he was going to go.

Met him when The Marine 2 came out. He was a really nice guy.

At the very least, he has a much better look than CAWdy. He should have been more than he was. Unfortunately he never got the awesome gimmick to work with that Cody got to get him somewhat over and ended up just drifting aimlessly most of the time. The guy isn't nearly as bad as people wanna make him out to be though.

I saw Masters wrestle a few months ago for Big Time Wrestling. He looked pretty good but lost to their champion some jacked up guy named Flex Armstrong.

DiBiase is doing the same thing countless people do each day, leaving a fairly secure job that they aren't satisfied with to try something else. Kudos to him

Seasoning will only benefit him in the long run, if he'd stuck around he'd be doing nothing but picking up a pay cheque and I guess he can always go back down the line.

He'd have been better than Hennig's kid getting the Heyman guy push.

Yeah they could have renamed him IronE Dollars (named after his grandfather, his father and T-Dog from the Walking Dead) like how they changed McGillicutty to Curtis Axel. Already would have been better.

IronE could then feud with Big E Langston over the use of the capitalised E.

I just meant because he's shown at least a slice of personality and doesn't look disproportionate.

There's too many sons of famous wrestlers in the WWE, which essentially becomes their gimmick.

Cody Rhodes didn't break out more until he did the Dashing / Disfigured / 'stache gimmicks, which flowed pretty well into each other for some steady character development.

My initial reaction was NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Then my 2nd thought was... PLEASE LET IT BE A WORK!

He'd have been better than Hennig's kid getting the Heyman guy push.

Was thinking the very same thing but Curtis Axel is still awful on the mic anyhow I think DiBiase would have been the one to get pushed but he ended up being more and more injury prone.

I liked DiBiase enough. He's a good worker and had his moments, but not much really clicked post Legacy. TNA and ROH should both be pretty interested in him, and I could see him actually being quite a useful heel in TNA. Maybe he could "buy" TNA away from Dixie Carter and make her give him sexual favors in order to keep her job in the company. Because TNA is like that. DiBiase and Bobby Roode forming a team could be quite entertaining as well.

I've got no clue why TNA have not made more of an effort to get Chris Masters into their ring too. That guy became really good. With two Wellness strikes against his name, I can understand why the WWE doesn't want to use him, but TNA could really use him as a top babyface.
