View Full Version : Should short men keep their pro wrestling aspirations confined to fantasy?

Because WWE wants male talent over 6'4'' for the main event and at least 5'10" for general competition, should someone of Davey Richards or Rockstar Spud stature admit right away their pro wrestling career will not include a stint with WWE?

Unless some of these semipros are sitting on a lot of cash, I don't see as many people trying to get into pro wrestling if they understand at the start they'll never work for a six-figure contract. What do you think?

Absolutely not. If they're not in the business to be successful, they should find another profession.

6'4"? John Cena is only 6'1". And they already have quite a few guys on the roster under 5'10". Plus, the top currently active face on the roster is 5'10" on the nose. So no, I don't think those guidelines mean too much.

Bryan is like 5'8" max. Jericho towers over him.

Jericho has admitted to wearing boots that make him look quite taller.

Nope. Rather the big pushes be done to guys who actually deserve it than locking them out of the main event scene because of their size (height or muscles/roids).

The lifts bump him up to around 6'1" and in comparison Bryan does not look 5'10". Maybe a better example, Bryan is shorter than Michael Cole.

If you have "it", size doesn't matter.

Basically this.

CM Punk isn't overly huge, and obviously Daniel Bryan isn't either. They've both said, I think, that they are limited in the things they can and cannot do while working in WWE. They basically gave up "wrestling" to become "sports entertainers."

Nothing wrong with it, either.

These vanilla midgets will never be a Bo-lievable Super-Heavyweight like Bo Dallas.

Bo Dallas is an ugly lesbian.

Also yes, wrestling should be about big muscley guys.
