OK So I want to print of some covers for my DVD's (the front cover that goes on the case) but every site I go to that has them always for some reason has them far to big. I found a site that tells you that you have to change the size and it says what the real size is, but everytime I change it the cover is still the wrong size, as in it doesn't fit properly or something. So I have some questions:

1 - What is the right size for a DVD cover so that it takes up the whole cases and the front, back and spine are all the right size and fit in their right place?

2 - When people scan these covers, why the hell do they make them bigger to like 3 times the size in the first place? Why can't they just be uploaded with the actual dimensions that they are supposed to be?

3 - Does anyone know any sites that have covers already in their real sizes ready for printing? Also don't say to use that CoverXP program because I tried it and it's shit and doesn't let me fiddle the covers to get them to do what I want. What I want to do to them is explained in my next question...

4 - Does anyone know sites that have covers for the thinner DVD cases? I bought a load of empty cases today but they are the thinner one's, not the same thickness as that one's you usually get with DVD's you buy in shops or whatever, the spine is around half the size. Now I don't really mind resizing the spine myself if there are no sites with them but I can't do that until I get the cover to the real size of what it would be if it was for a normal DVD case, but again that brings me back to my previous problem that I can't find any sites with them in their normal sizes.

So really I'd just like to know a website that has DVD case covers in their real dimensions so I can just copy them into paint or whatever, adjust the spine and then print straight away.

Help please.

I don't even mind is some one could find me just 1 DVD cover that has all the exact right dimensions. Then I could just use that as a template and get all the bigger covers and make them fit the template.

11 3/4 x 7 1/3 inches. The spine being 10/12 of an inch. Something like that I believe.

That's all I know though, I'd figure you can just use an image program like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro to resize. Don't know though. :(

I suggest a program to print CD labels (http://www.ronyasoft.com/products/cd-dvd-label-maker/templates/standard-label-template/) and covers. In addition to her you do not need anything more, she will determine the size of the disk, + it contains a large number of templates
