The recent WWE budget cut has been giving the crew some problems on the road, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The WWE production crew used get access to a bus on Mondays and Tuesdays, and Sunday to Monday on pay-per-view weeks. After dismantling the set around 1 am, they would sleep on location and drive to the next arena the following day to set up the next show. Now, after the introduction of a $20 million budget cut, the bus has been taken away, so the crew now has to drive to the next city, cutting into the amount of hours they get to sleep. In addition, they could also take naps and catch up on rest after the stage and arena was set up, but this is no longer the case. Reports now say the change is so exhausting on the crew that there’s a feeling a lot of the workers will start looking for work somewhere else

If you’re wondering why Cesaro has been kept as a heel and has cooled off so much even with Heyman as manager, it’s been somewhat intentional. Obviously, as noted in plans on who was going to be pushed, Cesaro was slated to be on the verge of a major face push late this summer. The decision was made, and this was before Bryan went down, that Reigns would be getting the big focused face push to the top with Cena, Bryan and Sheamus (who has also cooled down greatly because the way they book their secondary champions almost inherently does so) as the key guys. Cesaro is slated for a face push, but no time soon. The idea is “when we need it,” which would likely be after the big push for Reigns has already fully established him and they need the next rising star. The danger is Cesaro may have cooled off by that point, and really already has. It’s not like if they turn him and push him he doesn’t get over, but whether he reaches the level he could have had they taken advantage of the timing and momentum he had a few months ago, that’s the question.

There's been talk that GFW could debut on TV with some kind of reality TV or documentary show, leading up to the premiere of an actual in-ring program.

Several segments were either cut down or re-written at Monday night's WWE RAW from Richmond. WWE writers were still working on the last hour of RAW while the first hour was broadcasting.

There are now 20 Superstars in the WWE Battleground Intercontinental Title Battle Royal as Adam Rose and Damien Sandow were pulled from the match at last night's WWE SmackDown tapings. This could mean that a singles match between the two is booked for Battleground but it wasn't announced.

To expand on my idea since I thought more about it. If WWE is going to a ton of trouble for the rights to do the network in different countries they should at least try to create region specific original "in ring" programming. Basically take the nxt concept and expand it to England, Japan,Mexico, etc. it would give them their own international feeder system for main roster call ups and those countries would have WWE prescence year round instead of tours. As far as being on the network, as cool as it'd be for the shows to be available everywhere they'd probably need to be limited due to the rights issues. but maybe once a year they could have an international NXT cup special or something similar.

with their current money problems I don't think this could happen any time soon. But I don't have a doubt that they haven't thought about building performance centers in other countries and my idea would be the logical extension of that, and they've probably thought about it too.

As for what you were originally alluding to, I think that whatever they used to make the flags was too big to begin with, but they wanted it to fill the front of the podium to come off better on TV (that flag is incredibly long). They likely made the blue field and the stripes first, put in the correct ammount of stars, then had too much field left over, so they put in the extra stars and hoped nobody would notice... or at least notice it less than all the extra blue.




... and nobody has mentioned how that Macho Man appears to be able to rotate. I hope it's powered to spin. And play "Pomp and Circumstance" while it does it.

I've heard a few stories in the past, but as they've came from the internet, you can never really believe them 100%.

I've heard stories that Orton is a dick in real life, or at least he used to be until he became a father. I've heard stories that Cena is a dick, along with Del Rio and Sheamus. Big Show is apparently supposed to be a dick to you when you're new in the WWE, and I've heard that Goldust is a dick online, with Twitter and so on.

Also, as we all know, Punk is a huge dick. I get the feeling that I would absolutely hate hanging out with him.

Speaking of Punk, I actually came across a story about him last week or so but I don't know when it was from, but apparently he was complaining about the WWE going to Japan and the wrestlers getting Ribera Steakhouse jackets. I think it was because Justin Roberts got a jacket one time.

I'm paraphrasing here, but he said that most wrestlers now just go to Japan, have a match, go to the steakhouse for the jacket, then go home, and that nobody really lives/works in Japan in order to get the jacket anymore. He went on and said that the jackets have lost their meaning and tradition and that they aren't special anymore and because of that, he no longer wants the one he got. Then Colt Cabana agreed with him and said that he doesn't want his jacket either, because of that reason.

But again, it was on the internet so take it with pinch of salt. Though it does sound like something he would say and do.

it's usually one guy has a bad experience with somebody and that gets around via word of mouth or the internet and so on and then it becomes gospel that so-and-so is a dickhead when in reality it's probably a lot of people that have never met so-and-so simply repeating one person's experience. Been around multiple guys that have worked with/on the same show/shared locker rooms etc with Punk "back in the day" and never heard anything bad about him. I think the fact he's a bit outspoken in an age and a business where everybody is so fucking sensitive and take things so personally probably does him no favours.

I'd imagine a lot of the guys are fine if you know where to draw the line. These guys can't go to the shops with their family without being hassled, I bet it grates on you pretty quickly.

Agreed. They're one of the best pure tag teams with all around chemistry I've seen in a long time that don't come off as two random-ass throw togethers (or siblings). They play off of eachother in promos, each have their strengths in the ring, and are still enough of their own character for the inevitable singles run (this is WWE, they will get split up at some point, sadly). Hell the only thing they don't have is a marketable tandem name.

And for all the comparisons of Enzo and DDP, Cass has that something that reminds me of Edge if he had that WWE approved tallness.

Apparently Santino Marella's neck is so bad that he will have to undergo fusion surgery at some point. Santino has been promoting his own wrestling shows at his BattleArts school in Canada. Santino wants the shows to be like the BattleArts promotion in Japan, which is shoot style but worked, with a more realistic in-ring style and more focus on submissions.

The Miz is now doing a heel gimmick where he's trying to protect his face and calls it his money maker. According to Wrestling Observer, Miz has apparently been watching Andy Kaufman tapes for inspiration.

WWE has loaded up the August 16th WWE live event from San Jose with Ric Flair & Hulk Hogan as hosts, John Cena vs. Kane in a Street Fight, Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton, Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt with Flair as referee. The show is being loaded up because it will also be the kickoff to WrestleMania 31 ticket sales

Ric Flair was originally scheduled to be at Tuesday's WWE SmackDown tapings in Fayetteville, North Carolina but the show was re-written on Tuesday morning and he wasn't brought in. WWE's original plans for Flair had him being used on TV every week but that may not be the case now. Flair has signed a new deal and will be popping up on TV semi-regularly going into SummerSlam, possibly beyond. We noted yesterday that it appeared on Monday's RAW that creative has nothing solid for him yet

WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Steamboat has reportedly been let go from the company due to budget cuts. Steamboat had worked as a coach in NXT and apparently was working at the WWE offices in Talent Relations under Triple H recently. Eva Marie had a very rough night at the WWE NXT tapings from Full Sail University on Thursday night. She was given heat by the crowd from the moment she made her entrance and one fan commented that they "murdered her." She made it worse by putting on a bad performance in her match against Bayley. One fan noted that they "despised her" and "first we had X-Pac Heat and now we have Eva Marie Heat."
Was being claimed that the booing and hostility shown was around 2-3x the level of the ending to this year's Rumble.

Up until a few days ago, WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena was still being advertised for this Monday's post-Battleground RAW from Miami but he has been pulled from the listings. Cena will not be there as he has to be on the set of the Trainwreck movie that he is appearing in. This could be seen as a sign that Cena will drop the title at Battleground on Sunday. While it has not been confirmed or even rumored that is the plan, there are a lot of people who feel it's time to "pull the trigger" on Roman Reigns and give him the title on Sunday. With Brock Lesnar scheduled to return on Monday's RAW, it will be interesting to see how they use him with Cena gone.

TNA talents have been told to expect an announcement regarding the company's TV future at the New York City tapings during the first week of August.

Apparently Spike TV is really upset at TNA right now and all because TNA deceived them about Vince Russo's status with the company. They only found out recently he got rehired because Russo accidentally sent the wrong email to PWI when he tried to disprove rumors of him working for TNA.

For months, Russo hid in plain sight (due to his hallmarks being all over TNA Impact's storylines) behind duplicitous denials, but the truth exploded in hilarious fashion when Russo accidentally emailed PWInsider.com's Mike Johnson announcing instructions meant for Mike Tenay. Initially, Russo pretended that the email was a hoax designed to prove that the dirt sheets would print anything without checking into it first, but was forced to publicly come clean about his TNA status when Johnson threatened to publish the email if he did not.

"The deal is, and this is actually potentially gigantic, because Spike TV hates Vince Russo, so that's the key to the story, Spike TV hates Vince Russo. Spike TV was not aware that Russo was working for TNA and TNA was trying to hide that Vince Russo worked for them. Why they would want Vince Russo to work for them, I mean, you know, speculate, I don't get it, but, whatever, but for whatever reason they hired him, they wanted to keep it a secret and they wanted to keep it to a degree from the fans, but the ones they wanted to keep it a secret from were Spike. Spike knows. You know what I mean? You know and the Spike thing, I mean the timing couldn't possibly be worse, obviously. I don't know that its going to make a difference, but obviously they're kissing Spike's ass by sending Bobby Lashley over there [to fight for Bellator].... But just think of it from the side of Spike, you know what I mean? It's not a good thing that that happened."

The reason why the timing of this news breaking couldn't possibly be worse is that TNA's television contract with Spike TV expires in the autumn and a renewal still hasn't been signed. Clearly the delay in a deal being made suggests that there was already some dissatisfaction in Spike's corner with TNA to begin with and finding out that TNA has been intentionally misleading them regarding Russo isn't going to help TNA's case in getting Impact renewed.

Besides Spike TV being upset, the lockeroom is also upset because TNA mislead them as well about Russo's status.

2. Have Prince Devitt debut whenever. After this debut, have ominous segments talking about how "We Destroyed Japan, and we're coming for WWE..." Then, as a way to permanently put an end to the Rosebuds, have them face Prince Devitt and mystery partners. Out comes... the Bullet Club. Mainly give the Bullet Club a brief WWE run, and one last hurrah for AJ. End of the run comes with a blow-off against a returning Wade Barrett (who's a face) and a team of his choice. Naturally, he chooses the Nexus. It then leads to a formal Devitt-Barrett feud.

There are far better looking women than her who are at least halfway decent between the ropes (except Charlotte. Eva botches more than Sin Cara #1, and has no mask (well, not counting all the caked on makeup as a mask) or mood lighting. Kelly Kelly is better and she was fucking abysmal. I'm surprised she hasn't Jack Swagger'd anyone yet. Even herself. She makes everyone in the ring look that much worse, and I'm including the ref.

But more to the point, "looking good" over "ability" is one of the reasons why women's wrestling can't get over. You get a decent, watchable match out of a couple guys, then to women get in the ring that can barely arm drag and if you don't get up to piss you're only watching hoping for a nip slip. People have fond memories of Trish and Lita for reasons other than masturbation fodder. They could actually (and were able to) put on matches that were fucking watchable ON TOP OF them being something decent to look at.

WWE can relegate the non-working bitches to arm charms, and they elect not to. I guess especially now that there is already Lana, they don't want to "confuse" people by having more than one female heel manager. Give the women who can work time to work, ship the rest down to NXT or give them other shit to do. WWE can step the game up, TNA proved that a few years ago, they just don't seem to want to.

WWE.com has posted a storyline update on Stephanie McMahon’s Raw arrest, and noted she was released from the Miami-Dade Police Department at 4am this morning.

The article notes Triple H showed up to the police department at 1am, and Stephanie will have to return to Miami at a later date to face the charges against her.

WWE.com attempted to contact Stephanie for comment, but her lawyers advised her not to speak to any media.

The article notes the McMahon family is extremely upset and lawyers are currently figuring out the best possible course of action. Sources close to Triple H say Stephanie is “an emotional wreck” and “juggling anger, embarrassment, humiliation and self-pity.”

Bray Wyatt was originally supposed to defeat Chris Jericho at Sunday's WWE Battleground pay-per-view but the finish was changed on Sunday and it was reportedly a Vince McMahon decision. As of Saturday's creative meetings, Wyatt was still planned to defeat Jericho at the pay-per-view. The two will be having their rematch at SummerSlam and then likely another match at Night of Champions before Jericho takes another hiatus.

Chris Jericho was not at last night's RAW in Miami. Jericho flew to Los Angeles on Monday morning to begin promoting Fozzy's newest album, which hit stores today. The backstage attack on Jericho from The Wyatt Family was actually filmed at Battleground.

WWE officials are not happy with CM Punk and the way everything has went down with his departure. It's said that there are definitely issues between them right now. While it may appear that Punk's contract ended and everything went smooth, that's not the case and WWE does not see it like that. This is not confirmed to happen but there is definitely a feeling that something may be happening on WWE's end soon, possibly some kind of consequences for Punk for how he left the company.

WWE was planning on doing Bo Dallas vs. The Great Khali on last night's RAW, a rematch from the week before, but that was nixed during script changes. Roman Reigns vs. Rusev was also scheduled for last night's RAW but it was nixed during late re-writes of the show when the handicap match was made. This is why WWE had two handicap matches in the first hour of the show.

The possibility of The Undertaker and Sting facing off in a "dream match" appear slim as the former WWE Champion may have already wrestled his last match. Undertaker has been telling those close to him that although he doesn't completely rule out wrestling again, he does not expect to. Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer said recently on Wrestling Observer Radio "The last we had heard, which was, I don't know what a month or two ago, it feels like a bit over a month ago, Undertaker was saying that he did not expect to ever wrestle again, but he didn't rule it out 100%, he just didn't expect it." The publication last reported in June that The Undertaker was in bad shape after suffering multiple injuries in his WrestleMania 30 match with Brock Lesnar. Although he has been training in the gym, the possibility of a match next year at WrestleMania 31 in Santa Clara, California was "not looking good."

PWInsider Elite is reporting that John Cena leaving WWE for Hollywood is a possibility. They say Cena’s film career could take off quickly, and some backstage employees think he could walk away from the ring, given how hurt he’s worked in the past few months and years.

It has already been noted that Cena will be missing several dates, including RAW this past week, for filming his new movies The Nest and Trainwreck.

Some of the wrestlers have even joked that Cena will be the next one to “bring it via satellite” soon, taking a shot and both him and The Rock.

A fan noted that people that want to subscribe to the WWE Network month-to-month can use Paypal and when you get to the final checkout page, uncheck a box at the bottom that says pay comes in one payment. When you proceed to the confirm page, you then check a box that says you want to pay month-to-month. Apparently both boxes are hidden and hard to find
