Here’s a nice offer involving a (usually) not-so-nice guy: if you buy Hyrule Warriors for Wii U and register the game with Club Nintendo between 9/26/14 and 10/23/14, you can receive a free download code for the Demon King Costume Set DLC: two costumes for Ganondorf that you can use in-game.

Ganondorf is one of the many playable characters in Hyrule Warriors that come from classic games in The Legend of Zelda™ series. The two downloadable costumes are inspired by his appearances in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Keep an eye on club.nintendo.com in the weeks ahead for more details about the offer.

You must be a Club Nintendo member to participate, and the offer is available only in the US and Canada.

Ocarina of Time costume to be a Gamestop pre-order exclusive while its assumed the other costumes will be retailer specific as well once announced.

Well, this week the details have been spilled -- and you guessed it -- you'll have to pre-order the game at GameStop if you want the Ocarina of Time costumes.

If you register the game on Club Nintendo, you can pick up the Ganondorf costumes for free. We still have no idea what's going on with the Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword costume DLC, but something tells me Best Buy will be involved.

I have the Limited Edition pre-ordered straight from Nintendo. I'm hoping that comes with all the pre-order DLC costumes.

Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja states their long term plans for the game include a lot of DLC packs and even the possibility of a expansion-like pack in the future.

Well, you better get ready for some of that DLC for Hyrule Warriors, as an official tweet stated this week, "[Here's some] new information to commemorate the release. Hyrule Warriors is a festive Zelda title that was made with much effort. In order to have you folks enjoy it for longer, we’re currently planning long-term updates and a large-scale mode expansion. We’ve received a few bug reports, so we’ll be working on that as well.”

It's Tecmo and Team Ninja, of course we'll get a sea of DLC. Every conceivable character, area, weapon and outfit will be DLC at some point. At the very least, outfits. Every incarnation of every character.

If characters are DLC, I predict
Tingle (comedy)
Skull Kid w/ Majoras Mask
Error (comedy)
King of Hyrule
Tetra
Nabooru
Saria
Vaati
Malon (on horseback?)
Groose (comedy)
Bunch of Skyward Sword characters I can't recall the names of or haven't met yet because I've still to finish it but keep putting it off because the sword controls aren't as hot as they seemed. Seriously, I can't attack the enemies you have to swipe a certain way because the game thinks I'm striking when I'm just moving my sword into position. If I move slow enough for it not to register as a strike, the enemy has moved.

For those interested, Nintendo revealed the schedule for upcoming DLC packs along with some freebie offers and incentives.

Recently, though, The Big N shared details on what exactly each of the 4 DLCs will include as well as the respective prices and release dates.

According to Hyrule Warriors' official website, the four packs are: the Master Quest Pack, Twilight Princess Pack, Majora’s Mask Pack, and a Boss Pack – each costing $7.99 aside from the Boss Pack that will run gamers only $2.99.

Firstly, releasing on October 16, the Master Quest Pack will feature the previously revealed battle-ready Epona, along with 5 story missions, a new Adventure Mode map, and Guardian of Time outfits for Cia and Lana. Becoming available a month later in November, the Twilight Princess Pack will bundle in a pair of new costumes as opposed to the previously-believed 3. What’s more, this DLC will also bring forth a new playable character, usable weapon, and extra Adventure Map – specifics have yet to be disclosed.

Hitting the eShop in January the Majora’s Mask Pack will be ready to download. The pack will add two playable characters this time around along with 3 additional costumes and 1 additional Adventure Map. Then in February, the Boss Pack will become available, bringing 2 additional game modes.

As revealed last month, the season pass offer still stands, giving gamers the option to purchase all 4 content packs at once for $20, receiving them as they become released. Oh, and there’s a Dark Link Skin thrown in there as an incentive.

Lastly, while no date has been clarified – Nintendo also included details on Hyrule Warriors’ 1.3.0 update, which will grant players access to Cia, Volga, and Wizzro free of charge.
