View Full Version : Who would want to see in the HOF?

Well with the announcement of Warrior going into the HOF it got me thinking, who would you want in there that isn't there already? This excludes anyone still currently active like say Rock, Taker and the guy I hate Triple H who will all no doubt be in there soon enough,

Here are some of my personal picks and others whom I perhaps don't necessarily like personally but feel they deserve to be in there.

Sting
British Bulldog
Vader
Sid Eudy
NWO
DX
Madusa/Alundra Blayze
Macho Man Randy Savage but I believe he stipulated he only wanted to be inducted if and when the rest of his family are.

Eric Bischoff

Celebrities

I am surprised given his involvement in the first WM that Muhammad Ali has yet to be inducted however he may well have been offered the opportunity and declined it. However there may be a couple of issues with him attending a ceremony due to ill health but perhaps also given that the ceremonies always have one key marquee inductee there's no way you can induct Ali as a side note. He isn't a Mike Tyson , this is a man who is truly an icon of sports and popular culture and if they were to induct him which I think they should, they could only justify doing so by giving him the top billing.

Liberace was involved in wm one and again I'm surprised he has not been considered. Now would have been a good time to consider him given the renewed interest in his life and career from Behind the Candelabra.

Instead of giving you a bloated list (I'm looking at Seth82 right here) I'm just going to keep it as a simple list, let's say for next year.

Headliners
Jake Roberts
Scott Hall

Group Induction
The Natural Disasters

Guy That Never Worked For Vince
Jushin Liger

Others
Rick Rude
Bam Bam Bigelow
Dr. Death Steve Williams

Celebrity
Cindy Lauper

I'm not a fan of either but why Scott Hall ahead of Kevin Nash? Frankly they should be inducted as the NWO but as solo careers Nash had the slightly more remarkable career being world champ in both WCW and wwe whereas Hall is only famous for his ladder match and being drunk.

Wouldn't shock me if they are holding off the Freebirds till they have the Mania in Dallas next year but they should definitely go in at some point.

Also will use this as my yearly "Why isn't Mr. T. in the Celebrity Wing?" (I realize he had denied a few times but you can't have people like Drew Carey and not have a Celebrity who Main Evented 2 Manias not there)

LT should also be in the Celebrity Wing but my guess is they will wait till after all his legal issues in recent years die down to do it.

Does nobody have an opinion on Ali being in the HOF? He was guest referee at WM 1 right? They still show the footage in every WM retrospective promo and he is without a doubt the most high profile celebrity to be involved with WWE in an event capacity.

Floyd Mayweather certainly deserves an induction one day

CSL

the Freebirds aren't in yet because it's basically a rib on Michael Hayes at this point, one he openly acknowledges. Dallas would be a good place for them to go in however if they have 31

I had to double check because the idea of Killer Kowalski not being in is insane. He got inducted in '96 though.

It is pretty crazy that Lou Thesz isn't in though. The man has a press named after him, for fucks sake. A PRESS!

As for guys who haven't been menioned: The Honky Tonk Man and King Kong Bundy should definitely be in.

Theo Dious

Andy Kaufman, just so that they can do a "HE'S ALIVE AND HE'S HERE TO ACCEPT THIS GREAT HONOR" tease. In all seriousness though, he needs to be in there due to being one of the first (if not THE first) Hollywood crossovers in wrestling. I wonder if they could get Letterman to induct him.

Theo Dious

Also I doubt he would accept it (I think he's on record saying he wouldn't) but Jim Cornette is deserving at least.

Where can I go to see a list of all the inductees of the past? There's alot of guys whose accomplishments may not have been in the WWE (like in AWA or WCCW) that deserve recognition for their contributions to professional wrestling.
