Thought about this movie today and realized that I hadn't thought about it for a long long time. I saw it a thousand times and remember entire scenes and sections of dialog so that makes it a possible "Classic" right? Cutting edge special effects for the time. Seemed insane that they could do such things.

Let's turn this up a notch and see if this is worthy of being called a Classic. This one should have more people on the fence.

Absolutely. If only because I loved this movie growing up. Haven't seen it in years though... gonna make it my mission to watch this movie again fairly soon.

A classic movie if you can forget about the two lesser movies. So it's the 80s-90s equivalent of the Hangover.
