iZOMBIE"

Olivia “Liv” Moore was a rosy-cheeked, disciplined, over-achieving medical resident who had her life path completely mapped out…until the night she attended a party that unexpectedly turned into a zombie feeding frenzy. As one of the newly undead, Liv is doing her best to blend in and look as human as possible. Her appearance now passes for “Goth,” with shockingly pale skin and nearly white hair, and her demeanor has gone from exuberant to exhausted. The change in Liv is baffling to her mother, her former fiancé, Major, and her best friend and roommate, Peyton, who still has the high-energy, Type-A personality that Liv has completely abandoned. Despite her post-traumatic ennui, Liv has devised a way to resist her baser urges to devour fresh human brains – she’s taken a job in the Seattle coroner’s office. In this appropriately dead-end job, Liv can secretly snack on the brains of the many Jane and John Doe corpses that make a final stop in the morgue. Despite carefully covering her tracks, Liv’s boss, Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti, discovers her secret and is surprisingly excited about the scientific possibilities. Even with her boss’ enthusiasm, Liv remains resigned to an eternity without hope or purpose, until she realizes that with every brain she consumes, she retains a portion of that person’s memories. Liv begins to experience visions from the point of view of the murder victims. Much to the surprise of Dr. Ravi and homicide detective Clive Babineaux, Liv often has detailed knowledge of crime scenes and motives that she can’t easily explain. Posing as a psychic, she works with Detective Babineaux to investigate these crimes and discover who is responsible. It’s not the same as being alive again, but at least Liv can find purpose in her undead existence by helping Clive solve the murders of those who are indeed fully dead.

Never really read the comic book, but this sounds like it could be "fun". Probably doesn't deserve its own thread just yet, but I couldn't resist.

This either sounds terrible or amazing, I'm not sure which, but I'll watch it all the same.

Very quirky. I assume it won't take itself seriously.

It kind of reminds me somewhat of Pushing Daisies. I hope they can channel some of that magic.

Starting with not making the cases that she is working on straight forward boring standard cop show stuff. Make them outlandish and ridiculous.

Enjoyed the pilot.....

Detective guy's eyebrows freak me out though....

Also feel like the detective should know about her zombie deal.... much more believable he would work with a zombie to solve cases than work with a psychic to solve them...

So Tinkerbell from Once teams up with the black dude from Breakout Kings to solve crime while Mr. Sark from Alias unleashes the zombie apocalypse, all on a show run by the guy who made Veronica Mars.

I'm in. Fun pilot, and it looks promising.

All I read was Veronica Mars and I'm instantly interested

Episode 2 was better than the pilot, imo. Shaping up to be a really fun show. David Anders is tremendous.

The interrogation room scene was great. I also enjoyed her trying to describe Blaine to the sketch artist.

Overall good show. Enjoyed the season. Some stuff I didn't like, but a lot more that I did.

Good season ending too. Will definitely tune in for season 2.

Will be watching the finale tonight (thanks Hulu!)

Overall, though, this is one of the more fun shows on TV right now

Same boat as LoopyDate.

Been thinking about this since yesterday, when there was nothing to watch.

Recently got the entire comic book series out from the library. Pretty much completely different. Aside from there being a female protagonist who is a zombie.

I did, yeah. It was hard to tell if they were trying to wrap everything up because they weren't sure at the time if they were getting a second season while, at the same time, FORCING CW to give them a second season because of how good this finale was. I loved Major's assault on the butcher shop. Very cool sequence. Was unaware that freezers were grenade-proof, but hey I'll take it. Very cool character stuff with Liv FINALLY coming clean to Major and him reacting in a very logical way, even if it wasn't necessarily what we wanted to happen.

Loved it. Can't wait for season 2.

Good season. That finale was pretty insane and intense.

Lots of stuff for Season 3, and I can't wait.

Just watched the season premier.... not sure what to think about this new status quo just yet.... feel like it might "ruin" the "dynamic" of the show, but we shall see.....
