Minus pretty much all of the mic skills, but you know...

The matches that they've had so far have been absolutely great. They just gave away a banger on Smackdown for free, and it actually looks to be a part of a continuing storyline.

The two have a brilliant chemistry, and I really hope that they don't blow their load on this one and let it simmer for a while. With Cesaro being a fixture in seemingly both the Intercontinental and US title pictures, they can keep the two apart a bit and let it eventually come to a head in an important setting.

I'm just riffing here, so please feel free to share your thoughts on the Cesaro/Sheamus feud.

Was thinking the same sorta thing about Barrett/Sheamus.

Yeahhhhh, that's good too. Make it like a ten year long three way feud.

Get Rob Van Dam the fuck away from it all, though.

He just isn't even trying now, turn him heel or something.

This division probably should have been Daniel Bryan's wheelhouse as well, but I don't think he could turn back now.

They definitely had an awesome match on Smackdown. Barrett and Sheamus always impresses me as well.

I hope Cesaro sticks to his gimmick about wanting to fight and what not. What he actually said on Smackdown is that he will beat Sheamus with his fists until he can no longer stand. Heyman added a few things in there because why not, he's Heyman and he is awesome on the mic.

Anyway, this will hopefully give Cesaro his "light" and a chance to build himself a proper in-depth character that people can get behind one way or the other. Looking forward to all future Cesaro v Sheamus bouts.

They'd need to keep them pretty separate for the most part over the course of the next few years. Like I've said elsewhere, Rock/Austin had 10 singles matches over the course of 6 years, Sheamus/Cesaro have had 4 matches since May, they can't run it into the ground.

I'd like to see a sort of "Cold War" situation between the US and IC Champions (whether that be Sheamus & Barrett or Sheamus & Cesaro) where each guy is trying to outdo the other in terms of their reign, title successful defenses, even beating the same opponents to create direct comparison, eventually leading to a Champion vs. Champion match that might actually mean something, whether you unify the belts or not.

Disagree. The matches have been good but can't see it getting to that next level or being one of those long term great feuds like Rock-Austin.

Sheamus would fit better as the HBK/Bret type guy for WWE's next big future star.

The mic skills are kinda what made rock vs austin what it was.

He, like Alberto Del Rio, is good in the ring - It's just that I find them both really, really boring. His horrible "Bully Face" push a year or two back didn't help. Beating Daniel Bryan at WM in under 30 seconds didn't help either.

Barrett and Cesaro though...big fans there. Agree on the person who said they were "over" RVD. He's been better than I was expecting this go round but every time he hits his finisher and acts like his ribs are broken it drives me insane (if it hurts that much get a different finisher).

Sheamus just doesn't do anything for me, but since he is a good wrestler I can see him having fans (just like Del Rio).

Love Sheamus in the ring. Don't even want to see him turn heel, since he is so good as a face worker. He just needs an interesting rivalry that actually brings out character in him. He's pretty bland as far as his direction goes at the moment.

Bray Wyatt and Chris Jericho are two guys I'd like to see feud with a face Sheamus. Man, could you imagine Sheamus and Luke Harper beating the crap out of each other as part of a Sheamus vs. Wyatt feud?

I also hate that Sheamus has been pushed into the same cycles as previous mid-card champions. He should be defending the title more regularly and never losing. Instead he's trading wins with Cesaro while he's the fucking champion!

When has a Sheamus feud ever been allowed to simmer for a while?

Love Sheamus in the ring. Hate Sheamus on the mic.

Get him a manager, stat.

Ditto.

I truly believe that RVD would be a great inclusion to the tag team division.

I'm not sure who RVD's partner would be. Adrian Neville perhaps?

CJ Parker?

I just brought up Adrian Neville because Rob Van Dam is facing him this week on NXT. I haven't read the spoilers (and don't want to know), but regardless of the outcome, RVD gaining respect for Adrian Neville and teaming with him on the main roster makes sense.

CJ Parker seems more like a foil for RVD, in my opinion. Someone that RVD tells to chill out.
