Several readers, including Jules Allen, have sent in word that Seth Rollins (http://www.wrestlezone.com/tag/seth-rollins) might have been injured during the main event on Raw tonight. According to the live reports, after Rollins was hit by Roman Reigns (http://www.wrestlezone.com/tag/roman-reigns) with a clothesline, which knocked Rollins out the ring, he did not get up, and was seen clutching his knee.
WWE cameras did not show Rollins for the rest of the match, the referee reportedly threw up the “X” signal, and Rollins had to be tended to by members of WWE’s medical staff and eventually helped to the back.
Well this sucks….hopefully it's nothing. The Ambrose feud, MITB all down the drain

it's fortunate they had already mentioned planned c.

for real, if he is hurt, that sucks. they can find a way to make it work, but it really depends on how severe it is. i'm more concerned about what they choose to do with ambrose now if this is legit.

Yeah same here about Ambrose. Maybe he can feud with Bray after Y2J or something but this leaves him kinda lost in the mix for now.

No, he just holds onto it for a few months. Comes out on some crutches when he is better, uses the crutches to wreck whoever is champ at the time, and cashes it in.

WWE thought Kennedy was out due to injury for up to 6 months (ended up not being as serious of an injury as they thought) and thy didn't let him keep it through the injury. doubt they'll let Rollins keep it unless he's only out a couple weeks, but knee injuries are usually pretty serious..

They should just hand the briefcase to Heyman then and be like Plan C it is.

He has to be fine. He and Dean have one of the hottest feuds going right now and the fans are going apeshit for Ambrose. This match has to happen at Battleground.

- Word from backstage at last night's RAW is that Seth Rollins is fine and is not injured. A source said Rollins was just selling the knee injury from the main event and doing a good job of it. It was noted that it was suspicious how WWE kept the cameras off Rollins when he went down.

- Since fans have asked, Dean Ambrose is fine after the beatdown angle with Kane, Seth Rollins and Randy Orton on last night's RAW. Apparently he was busted open in the mouth but did not suffer any significant injury.

I'm pretty sure he hurt it when he landed from that springboard right before the clothesline. Either way sucks for him

I would love the WWE to make a new practice that they randomly fake injuries in the dirt sheets to make smarks cry

This would be outstanding. Whatever happened to real kayfabe?

But honestly, the WWE can't afford alot of these injuries to these stars (Ziggler, Barrett, i guess Rollins is a work, but etc.). They are in no position to be on cruise control, IMO. Im not saying that they will go bankrupt, but they obviously have fans tuning in with that "old days" feel now.

The thing with their schedule is that every live event/TV/PPV they have their main talent going at it either there working out or doing promo work, also at the same time wrestling matches. They've been good on showcasing their best.

If they scale down on wrestler schedules, the events become watered down. Some may understand, then the critics will come out.

If they keep going at this pace, injuries are bound to continue.

Pretty brutal stuff from both sides.

Yeah I mean look at Bryan? No telling when he will be back now as he needs another neck surgery and then surgery on his shoulder. These guys work their asses off and they are paying the price for it.

Miss that brand split yet? You know, that thing that lightened the schedules of the top guys?

Sepholio
07-15-2014, 07:23 PM
I never really had a problem with the brand split to be perfectly honest. They still had the occasional cross-over story lines, it gave exposure to more talent, kept the work load down, and when things got stale they just switched a few people around. I honestly miss the whole draft after WM thing. That was always an awesome show.

Cool King

With the WWE being good at repeating history, it would be good to see a new brand split happen with Vince returning to TV, claiming that Triple H and Stephanie don't own anything and have gone mad with power.

As both parties are claiming they own the company, they decided to just get a brand each and appoint a GM for their brand, and then we have a brand split again.

Why not have the best of both worlds and have Heat and a brand split.

It would be a great reason to bring back one of the greatest GM's ever.

Honestly, at this point Smackdown is so much a recap show and no storyline progression or important things happen on it that I couldn't tell you the last time I watched it. Several years ago now, probably 2009.

There's no need to do a roster split for Smackdown because it's such a unimportant show. Plus, just like before, there will always be a true superior level brand and true main event superstars that the second brand's "main event superstars" won't matter enough to draw when the superior brand's and true main event superstars go down.

It's an unimportant show because nothing happens there that you didn't just see on Raw. People actually watched it when it contained exclusive stars and storylines.

I haven't watched SmackDown now since around January or February.

Although i did quit watching wrestling all together from like 2006-Nexus

The real problem is nothing happens on Smackdown with one roster and it's just too much to follow/watch with two rosters.

Of WCW Friday Nitro, complete with WCW World Heavyweight Champion since he has the belt now. Vince gets pissed at Cena for giving Flair the belt so that he could do that and forces Cena into curtain jerking for the rest of his career vs Bo Dallas to pump up the streak.

It was a pretty good feud until they did it 100000000000000000000000 times then tried to play it off as the best feud in wrestling history.

Why would they not make it out to be the best feud ever? They're the two biggest stars of the era, would ou reall expect them to say "Well we may not be as good as we were in the attitude era or during Hulkamania, but these two are just the best we have to offer right now. Tune in folks!"

SlickyTrickyDamon
07-16-2014, 06:49 AM
You don't have to say anything about it being the greatest feud ever if the feud sells itself. It didn't so Cena had to say it.

Did that actually happen? Did John Cena actually say "this is the best feud ever" or something similar?

Or was it the commentators alluding to something along those lines to hype up the current product, ie doing their jobs?

Star Trek:TNGD9 is the greatest show ever. They never advertised anything. They never told anybody when or where it was on, but since it was the greatest it sold itself. PROOF

The commentators are being told to call Cena the greatest champ in history, which is silly. Not taking cred away from him, he is great, but "of all time" I would have to disagree.

Much to STD's chagrin, I misplaced my /sarcasm tag somewhere
