I've only seen Hennig's stuff in the form of old footage, and nothing I've seen of him ever entertained me the way Angle did. Maybe if I'd grown up watching Hennig I'd feel differently? Either way Angle gets my vote.

Loved Curt Hennig but sorry - Angle is the true perfect one.

I've seen both, and Angle is better

Had such a boner when Mr. Perfect came back in the Rumble and had that moment with Kurt Angle and I wanted them to have a feud so badly.

Anyways..... Mr. Perfect was great, but I think Kurt Angle is one of the "best of all time".

I feel like Mr. Perfect is going to be hurt by not being as "recent" or as "successful" as Kurt Angle. Comparatively speaking, Curt Hennig would be a 14-time World Champion today. That being said, I do think I'd have to objectively go with Kurt Angle, but Mr. Perfect is one of the all-time greats.

I can't even emphasize How much better Kurt Angle is than Mr.Perfect If they had been pushed at the same time in the same company I'm confident that Kurt wouldve outshown Henning at every turn. Henning was really good (and he used to bump like Dolph Ziggler) but Kurt literally had all the tools when it comes to being a pro wrestler and far from being just a jack of stats he excelled in every category.

I'm disappointed that Jericho is out of the running for the first Hall of Famer... but still... Angle takes this one.

If there was a choice for tie I would choose that but otherwise it has to be Kurt Angle just based on his body of work alone

Can we just put Kurt Angle in the Hall of Fame now and then continue with two new wrestlers?

Gooooooddammit this is the toughest one yet. They were both great across the board. Hennig never won a gold medal with a broken freakin' neck though. So... Angle I guess.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the only legit competition to Angle in this thing is Shawn Michaels.

Can we just put Kurt Angle in the Hall of Fame now and then continue with two new wrestlers?

We Really should he is gonna steamroll this fucking thing.

Then 30 people don't know shit about wrestling. Angle never drew anything close to Hogan.

Angle.

Better overall package and one of the very few guys who actually transitioned pretty well going from WWE to TNA.

But everything else is better about Angle. Hogan also killed WCW. So ya.

You of all people use drawing power as your main argument in better wrestler? :wtf:

We will get into this later i think but while i consider drawing the most important criteria i do think the other factors could potentially outweigh it if the gapnwas wide enough. More on that later though...

Fair enough, but seeing STD use it as his main argument is just... weird. I mean in my experience he tends to be one of the more typically IWC-ish people on here. Maybe I'm wrong though. I tend to have the attention span of a goldfish these days. :p

Only for Hogan because where would any of them be without the Hulkster? Selling meat off a truck and pumping gas brother!

Love Hennig, but I could never viably see him as "the man" anywhere, in any era. A good hand to have, and interchangeable in between upper mid-card and lower main event. A fantastic wrestler. He's someone you expect a great match out of everytime you see him. You expect a classic out of Kurt Angle everytime though. Angle is someone you want cemented in your main event scene. Kurt angle by a mile.

For those of you that say Angle is going into the Hall of Fame straight away, I would really like you to consider what the outcomes would be against Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Stone Cold, The Rock, Mitsuharu Misawa, Hulk Hogan, or Kevin Nash. Just saying.

This one is probably the roughest for me....Perfect is one of my all time favourites....to the point where his theme music has been my ringtone since I've had a smart phone. But, as was mentioned, objectively Angle edges out Hennig.

I was somewhat joking, but as Destor said, if this were more...cultured, objectively you'd have to consider Misawa one of the greatest of all-time. It's through an Attitude-era and post centric lens that Kurt Angle is regarded as one of the greatest ever. I'm not saying that he's not great or even one of the greatest, but there have been workers that have drawn a lot more money, had just as many classics and have been, proportionately, as culturally significant.

Destor

If i wasnt "writing for my audience" Misawa would absolutely be a boss level pick. As is he's round 1 or 2.

And thats not exactly a bad thing. The omly reason I post here is because its the least smarky board ive seen. We can talk buyrates and star power instead of everything being about work rate. However Misawa has work rate, star power, longevity, generational impact and huge success at the gate the likes of which rival even Ric Flair.

This is one of the least smarky boards? Whoa. I perhaps took for granted that there are places where buyrates and drawing power LESS. I know we're weird for the amount of love we show JBL and Kevin Nash, but I wasn't aware we were as progressive as we are. And I don't mean that as a knock. I've been thinking of trying to find a place where buyrates and drawing power could be discussed without it turning into a "you're so negative, why would a wrestling fan even care about that" discussion.

Yeah, you're not gonna find that I don't think, Noid. From what I've seen pretty much every fan that uses the internet to talk wrestling is extremely smarky these days unless they're actually in the target demographic (i.e. under 12.) This place is about as good as it gets in my experience.
