New show that's coming out created by David Simon, who created The Wire. HBO just released the first episode early, so it's available now. Just watched it and thought it was really good...

Created by George Pelecanos and David Simon (The Wire) and starring James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal, The Deuce follows the story of the legalization and subsequent rise of the porn industry in New York’s Times Square from the early 1970s through the mid-1980s, exploring the rough-and-tumble world at the pioneering moments of what would become the billion-dollar American sex industry.

Watched the first episode, thought I could take it or leave it. Was good enough for me to give it more of a chance and see where it is going, though.

Maggie Gyllenhaal and James Franco both were stellar. World is fleshed out well with many factions that wont mix well. There's a lot of life in the show.

I watched the first ep. I kinda liked it. Franco's character is a pussy atm, but you can tell that will change. Maggy Gyllenhall's tits were depressing. Deangelo Barksdale was good.
