There's the headliner for this year.

Goldberg's ring time for the four matches in his most recent run totaled 9 minutes, 53 seconds. His speech will probably at least double that.

One of the brightest stars in the history of the business

One of few guys who won, won, won, that I loved. And to be honest, I don't know why.

He had that intangible "IT" that is so hard to find. A bit like Ultimate Warrior in that regard.

Even when he came back, you just felt it, he was on another level to everyone else. Well deserved.

Can't say I'm surprised. Definitely well-deserved. Not many were over as strong as he was for a period of time.

His time was short but it was also a crazy competitive time. To be that over, and that green, when the business was filled with real stars...its impressivd

His son needs to induct him, sans shirt.

Goldberg definitely deserves to go in. He was not the best wrestler in the ring but he was extremely charismatic and every time he returned he was instantly the most over guy on the roster. There is just a mystical charisma that he has.

In a lot of regard, he reminds me of Big Time Mike from VTW. Like Goldberg, Big Time Mike may not be the most talented guy in the ring but every time he comes out of retirement and hits the ring, he immediately becomes the most over guy in the yard.

The only part of this I don't like is that it still feels like he can whoop half the guys on the roster, so why put him in the Hall like he's a past-his-primer. This also implies, quite heavily, that Undertaker will be wrestling again. If he were retired, he'd be headlining this class, surely.

Even though his career was pretty short especially for someone of his star status, makes a lot of sense he'd get inducted now. Besides deserving it from the impact he left, the pool of headliners left for WCW and big stars in general is pretty small by now.

Would rather Goldberg win the Royal Rumble and challenge Brock than pretty much any other title match they can put forward.

Never liked him, always seems so bland to me. And his stupid winning streak.

Also, he was feuding with Hogan and I was a big mark of Hogan back then.

I'd rather see Cena wrestle Goldberg oppossed to Cena wrestling Taker.

That much is true.

I also remember being pissed Flair is wrestling in his 60s but he was nowhere near as embarassing as Taker.

Cena vs Goldberg in a short, but jam-packed match, like Goldberg vs Lesnar, would be incredible (imo).

Some people are saying Taker's in the best shape he's been in for a decade -- I guess we'll find out next week at RAW 25. If he's not I'm a bit worried about a long bout between him and Cena. Roman is a good wrestler and he struggled to make Take look good, so if he isn't in the best shape I'm not certain Cena could pull a great match either.

Good.

Now it's time for the Internet to cry cause he didn't wrestle 45mins and come from HS gym.

I'm calling for Big Time Mike to be inducted intoned the WWE Hall of Fame, would be so excited to find out who would induct him, I'm guessing Kwang (in full outfit) or Duke The Dumpster Droese. Maybe they can get Fake Razor Ramon to come back and do it.

Reigns is not exactly the sort of guy to lead with Taker though. I'm worried that they won't have chemistry, or that something will go wrong, but Cena will do everything in his power. And he does have a lot of power.

July 6, 1998 Nitro. Aka the one where Goldberg beats Hollywood Hogan to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

I was 9 at the time and had only been watching wrestling for a few months. I instantly gravitated towards Goldberg as my favorite. The crowd was absolutely mental that night, and frankly so was I as I was jumping up and down in celebration watching it on TV.

Now that I'm older and know about the business I understand that Goldberg beating Hogan on free TV was almost certainly a terrible business decision. But I don't care. That's one of my earliest memories as a fan and something I'll hold on to forever.

Right now the running plan is for Heyman to induct Goldberg. That seems a bit odd, No?

Seems like a job for Bischoff or Stone Cold.

Maybe Jericho for a bit of excitement and drama.

Definitely should be Bischoff.

Sting should do it. Sting and Luger were the ones who convinced Goldberg to get into wrestling.
