His character aside. I used to watch Real World and i remember that season where he was running around acting like a wrestler and holding a fake belt. You could see the love this guy had for wrestling and he wasnt afraid to look like a fool, showing it. He's gone from changing outside the lockeroom to being one of the best, more reliable talents WWE has. It's really remarkable. I really would like to see a Miz documentary talking about him working his way up the ranks. He's now on the verge of being the greatest IC title champion of all time. As a fan, that belt means a lot to me. I love when they give it to guys like Roman to carry it for a bit. And watching Miz beat him on RAW was amazingly refreshing. I think the WWE may give this guy a monster push out of appreciation for what he's done. If you've noticed the last few months before the Marsye pregnancy, the WWE was leaning on The Miz really hard to carry about 30-45 minutes of RAW with in ring promo's and wrestling. I think it's about to pay off for him.

I think i'm the first to make this prediction, but I have a feeling The Miz wins the Royal Rumble.

I fux heavy with The Miz. I've liked him since his WWECW days. Happy for him.

ya. I'm like really really proud and happy for him. I'm not sure i've felt that way about a wrestler before.

He is very good at "what he does" but will only be sewper main event levels if he adds a little something in the ring. I'm not saying become a badass submission machine/workrate hoss, but a little X factor.

Austin had the fire, the Rock and Hogan had the theatrics, Shawn Michaels was a fantastic athlete... the Miz just needs that special something in ring.

But I'm impressed by him, that's for sure.

Been growing on him as a fan since around the time of his WWE title reign and felt he shined a lot as a big star during the verbal feud with Bryan.

That verbal feud with Bryan should have been the launching point towards another WWE/Universal title reign but WWE didn't bother at all to take advantage of it.

If Miz can parlay some of that promo intensity into ring intensity, that might be the ticket. He speaks so passionately in promos, then he wrestles so cowardly. Not saying that he's not good at both, but they don't exactly mesh well in that aspect. He can still be a heel, but do it as "any means necessary" and not "I can only do this by cheating", if any of that makes sense.

He's been the most underrated guy on the roster for a decade. While everyone's been going on and on about the missed opportunities of a Ziggler or Ryder, he's been there making guys like Sandow (or Mizdow if you prefer) and being the best and maybe only pure heel they've got.

To piggyback on what RP said about his early days, I agree 100p. The guy would talk about his alter ego "The Miz" and everyone would be like "Yeah, ok dude. You'll have to get a real job like the rest of us at a Gap when you give up on whatever this is" now here he is living his dream. I went with some chicks in college to see him and Coral (from that season too) "speak" and he was really really cool, took pics and answered questions all day. For some reason I feel "good" when he does well which I can't say for anyone else.

Go back and watch when he cashed in his MITB and won the title. Look at his face just before they ring the bell. That's literally watching a guy's dreams come true. Gives me goosebumps.

The hardest thing to do is to tell/sell the story. He's the best at it - and that quality gets overlooked way too much now.

I think the intensity you're speaking of will get turned on when its a feud that means something. He's too smart to blow that load on another throwaway program with a Baron Corbin or Kane or some shit. If he ever got to work a dream angle with Bryan, that's an example of where it comes out.

I don't think we're getting Brock Lesnar vs. The Miz at WrestleMania. He's fine. He can talk. He's not very good in the ring.

Doesn't dive and do flippy shit = sux in the ring. Got it.

He's a great heel. Still can be way to soft in the ring but when he's with a hard worker the match always has potential. I think he'll get one more chance to headline WM before it's said and done for him.

Miz is great and one of the people I look forward to watching when I tune into WWE.

Every moment he crosses paths with Daniel Bryan is gold. On Raw they had a simple moment of walking opposite ways on the entrance ramp and they heat that is there between them is so so real. It's probably not REAL, but it's the kind of real you want in your best wrestling storylines. I really think if that match ever happens that it could be built so big as to headline Mania.

I wish he would do one thing that wasnt an imitation of someone else. Very hacky.

That's true. He isn't very original.

I mean yeah, his character is a common archtype, but theres nothing necessarily wrong with that. Especially considering how well he plays said archtype.

I agree. But for me like I said, he's only as good as the guy he's opposite, when it comes to in ring entertainment, for me.

Miz is by far the best thing WWE has. Hope he goes an entire year with the IC belt and then is giving a small run with the main belt before going back to making mid carders again.

He's the best they've done of "protecting" a character all around. Like Destor said, not exactly born with talent, & nobody was really on his bandwagon until he cut his beetfaced Talking Smack pipebomb - but he's an awesome example of how far you can take a low level guy if you bust your ass taking care of every aspect of his on-screen booking.

I thought the go-to meme was supposed to be that WWE is shoving Roman Reigns down our throats - but who just fucking pinned the guy in the middle of the ring, on prob the highest profile Raw that isn't following Mania. He got the final word on Ziggler. He got the final word on Dean. My guess is he just got the final word over Roman. This is a college level course in fabricating a "hall of fame career" for a chosen worker out of whole cloth

He needs super powers. That's what's missing. Maybe Hurricane Helms could teach him.

He doesn't do anything really, really well. Like, if you were trying to hype up the guy's ring skills from a promotion standpoint, what are you going to say? His style is very gentrified and nothing.

You're going to have Michael Cole shriek the words SKULL CRUSHING FINALE ad nauseam until the fans start cheering for it.
