This was insane. The best hour of a horror series I've seen on tv in ages.

Pure Horror Gold.

Rutger Hauer is fascinating and a perfect villain so far.

Also this might be the most insane tv series I have ever watched.

What is it about?

Butcher's Block is loosely based on a short story called 'Search and Rescue Woods'. The tv series is only six episodes in length, so a good run-time.

Alice Woods and her schizophrenic sister Zoe have moved to a small town to start over. On the outskirts of town lies a neighborhood known as Butcher's Block, where lawlessness abounds. It is here where the sister's encounter the Peach family, led by the eerily charismatic patriarch Joseph Peach. The Peach's are not your ordinary family, they live in a dimension above Butcher's Block, a dark utopia.

They offer the sister's a place at their table with a promise of a world without worry and illness. The sister's soon discover the cost of living the good life might just be escaping insanity to embrace true madness.
