While I think Takeover almost always delivers I will say I can see what people mean when they say the current NXT class isn't as strong as past classes. It's not bad or anything, just not as strong. Obviously there are some standouts.

Honestly don't think Gargano, Ciampa, Aleister, Riochet or Dream will be treated as upper mid card / main-eventers on the main roster one day because of their size.

* Adam Cole (decent heel push upon call-up)

* Kyle O'Reilly (Comedy Character on Main Roster)

Finally got around to watching this week's episode and the ending for the Tag Title match might have been the best submission moment in years in the WWE.

O'Reily and Severn did an amazing job building up the leg submission to make Bate sacrificing the tag titles for his partner's health feel really genuine.

I think the Brooklyn main event is going to be a Triple Threat with Black, Ciampa and Gargano.

Adam Cole is interesting. I didn't like him that much at first, but he grows on you. There's something about his facial expressions and this innate charisma he has. He's also a good chickenshit. I don't know why, I just don't buy him on the main roster though. He feels like the sort of guy that they would have called up to make Eric Bischoff's assistant back in the day.

Personally, I have no interest in The Undisputed Era as a group. I guess they would make fine foils for The New Day, but does anyone need to see this? If anything, have The New Day do an appearance on NXT and run it as a main event of a television. That would be enough. I'd call up Adam Cole as a boot-licking supplicant to a heel Randy Orton. There's something about Cole that could play the role really well. He's got that face where he would willingly seem like he's Randy's bitch, but you know there's more to it than that -- and you know that Randy knows that too. I think they would make a great heel pairing and I'd be fine seeing them get a run with the SmackDown Tag belts. You can edge Cole into important storylines this way.

Anyone else find it interesting that Gargano delayed Black , which unsettled him so when he turned the corner Ciampa jumped him. Can see an angle where 'Dark' Gargano is under the spell of Ciampa, he causes Black to lose the belt to Ciampa. Then comes out and says he only did it cos he wanted to be the one to take the belt off him.

Also that Tag Title match was amazing, the storytelling was brilliant. We need more of British String Style on TV, they are all brilliant. My favourite match of the year so far.

I could see them having Gargano and Black feud for a while over who gets to face Ciampa for the belt. That could very easily spin-off into Ciampa vs. Gargano and Black vs. Velveteen Dream or something by the time WrestleMania weekend rolls around. That show could play like a list of "NXT's Greatest Hits."

There's something about Adam Cole. He does look very generic, but it's a photogenic generic. He doesn't look physically imposing, but there's a charisma there. He's got way better presence than O'Reilly, Fish or Strong. When I've seen him, he seems to have no problem playing the chickenshit too.

I'm not a fan of The Undisputed Era as a group, but I do think there is something worth exploring in Adam Cole.

I know exactly what you mean, but at the same time I feel that something is missing with him. I don't know what it is. He doesn't feel as "dynamic" as he should. I liked that element when he was paired against Velveteen Dream, but I worry that he'll get lost when he's put against guys that aren't going to pop his feuds.

He reminds me of Batman, in that he's as interesting as his rogues' gallery.

NXT's Women's division is way too stuffed because of multiple reasons that WWE doesn't care to fix and whenever she gets any real tv time to develop or build any momentum, NXT Creative pulls a "Vince" by getting quickly bored of her each time.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is making another change to NXT's creative team and its related to their recent hiring of a new head person for the company's main roster creative team.

In the February 8th edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported that long time staff member Dave Kapoor is transitioning to a role with NXT. Kapoor had been serving as the Senior Vice President of Creative Writing. Earlier this week, the company confirmed the hiring of Christine Lubrano as its news Senior Vice President of Creative Writing Operations and reporting to Brad Blum.

The amount of people working in NXT's creative team has bloated by a lot since the switch to the USA Network. Used to be just 1 writer and a couple of NXT officials at most helping out in a support role. Now they have their own small crew of writers and a larger number of people in a support role.

Regal gave Dakota & Raquel the belts as the inaugural champs only for them to lose it on their first match later in the show.

WWE pulling a NJPW by having one of the TakeOver matches on Night 2 being based on a match result from Night 1.

Night 1 has a Battle Royale Gauntlet match to determine the #1 contender for the North American belt.

Night 2 has the winner of that match vs. Johnny Gargano for the belt in a regular singles match.

Based on Gargano's current storyline stuff, anyone else besides Dexter Lumis winning on Night 1 and the title would be a big head scratcher but then again Lumis' style of wrestling has been mostly boring in NXT since it doesn't really mesh well with NXT's style. His character and style of wrestling fits a lot better on the main roster instead.

Night 1 has the NXT UK title match between WALTER and Ciampa. Problem is NXT UK is airing their Prelude special the night after and already advertised a NXT UK title match of WALTER vs. Rampage Brown as the headliner for it.

According to the Observer, NXT UK Prelude likely was taped prior to WALTER traveling to the US for his current TakeOver storyline due to scheduling issues and UK's quarantine rules for traveling to the country.

If they swap the NXT UK title match to Night 2, then kayfabe wise it's not a problem since WALTER very likely isn't losing the belt on a non-TakeOver NXT UK show and since that showairs first, it wouldn't affect NXT's Night 2 TakeOver show later in the day.

Didn't even realize I first posted this in the wrong WWE-related thread until just now but managed to finish watching the 1st half of this week's NXT show before tonight's Smackdown started.

Opening women's tag match was entertaining. With the way Zoey Stark has been giving a big push/rub right from the start, wouldn't be surprised if she ends up being the first big title feud for Raquel after TakeOver assuming Raquel wins the belt and Io gets called up shortly afterwards.

Promo-wise LA Knight is pretty good compared to others in NXT but in-ring wise, getting some serious Bobby Roode vibes in the sense of him wrestling a lot slower style and his match against Bronson was a bit boring because of it. Roode had a fantastic gimmick in NXT but he also had some of the most boring and very dragged out high profile matches in NXT history as well.

Kross vs. Oney was a splendid hard hitting bout and best match on the show so far.

Seems USA Network lost their exclusivity for Night 1 of next week's two-night Takeover event since its also airing on Peacock.

That's probably going to take a sizable bite out of NXT's viewership next week and turn what should have been a guaranteed ratings win next week into something a lot less etched in stone now.

Night 2 will still be exclusive to Peacock i the US and the WWE Network outside of the US.

WWE has announced an additional way to watch NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver night one.

During tonight's episode of NXT, it was announced that night one of TakeOver: Stand & Deliver will be simulcast live on Peacock in the United States and on the WWE Network everywhere else at the same time as it's airing on the USA Network. Night one of TakeOver: Stand & Deliver is taking place on Wednesday, April 7. Night two is taking place on Thursday, April 8 and will be live on Peacock in the United States and live on the WWE Network everywhere else.

Just finished watching this week's show after some procrastination and being busy with some stuff on the side.

The all-out warfare between Io Shirai and Raquel Gonzalez throughout the show was easily the best thing on it. Same for that being the best women's related thing all week on WWE's shows.

Show itself was all right for the go-home show for TakeOver Stand & Deliver. Maybe one of the more skippable NXT shows in recent months though in terms of interesting or important stuff that happened.

NXT managed to pull a main roster style 50-50% booking with Swerve winning the grudge match but Ruff gets the last laugh by beating him up backstage.

Starting to think NXT doesn't know how to end feuds these days. First it was the Unsanctioned match that wasn't a feud ender for Cole vs. O'Reilly and now Swerve vs. Scott likely is going to continue. Even the Gargano vs. Lumis feud is still going on despite last week's TakeOver would have been the great time to do the blowoff match.

Wonder how many more big losses Stark can afford before it starts to impact her potential star rise since outside of her beating Toni Storm, she's lost to every other big name she's faced and almost all of her matches in general on the brand. Even her win against Storm didn't feel that impactful because NXT sort of dropped the ball with Storm's return.
