Can someone tell me why he's been playing 1st for the Dodgers?

He has one of the best arms in the majors. Is he hurt or something?

Well, the Dodgers are stacked in the OF without him even in the mix, and their options at 1B otherwise sucked ass?

I think the bigger mystery is what happened to his hitting.

Green has been playing 1B occasionally since the Dodgers aquired Milton bradley. He doesn't cover much area anymore. And first was an easier position to learn than third.

ya plus he's left handed so 1st is his only other option other than pitcher

Do you know anything about baseball? Lefties are limited to 3 positions: pitcher, first base, and outfield. They can't play catcher due to most batters being right handed that would get in the way of their throw to second. They can't play the infield because if you pick the ball up on the ground you have to turn your body too much that the throw is unnatural and runners would beat out every close throw. I'm lefty and when I played I always played outfield or pitched, which kinda sucked cuz I always wanted to play SS or 2B.

My luck then that I've never wanted to do anything but those 3 things then...

Sorry, it's a little early for me. :$

Shawn Greene, has he put any weight back on? Last year he looked so skinny

He's always been a skinny bugger. Well that's what happens when you leave the Jays for more money, your career goes down the shitter

Okay that's a lie, but in his case, it's the truth

I swear the only good thing Sean Greene did was that game in Milwaukee where he homered like four times and was 5-5 with 5 runs, something like that. At least he was never really anything after that. Milton Bradley got suspended a few, so Greene will likely be back in the outfield for a few games.

So you're saying a consistent .280 40 HR 100 RBI hitter isn't valuable

...made a run at 40-40 one year too. Still a favourite of mine although I don't get to see him play very much anymorre.

Shawn hit .280 with 19 HR and 85 RBI last year. This year he's been even worse. I like the guy, too. But it's a "what have you done lately" world. And Dodger management is losing patience.
