First off, if watching the film makes you gay, then all of the actors must be gay for being in it, right?

Chicago was a decent movie. The musical itself is great, but they just didn't portray it up to it's potential. From a person who's actually been in Chicago before, the singing wasn't up to par and it just wasn't that great.

But, as for making you gay, no. I love musicals. Phantom of the Opera is the greatest ALW musical ever. Into The Woods is a great musical. As is Greese (not the movie, the actual musical. The movie sucked). Just because you like a musical doesn't make you gay.

Well, there are some things that you like that I'm sure I don't....doesn't mean that I'm going to call you gay. Musicals are a large part of the performing arts. I've been in numerous musicals, including but not limited to, "Chicago", "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", "Phantom of the Opera", "Grease", "Into the Woods", "Little Shop of Horrors", "Mamma Mia!", "Oklahoma", "Guys and Dolls". Does that make me gay? No. It just means that I get paid for doing what I like. And I get to work with very, very flexible girls.

I'm not gay. Just because you enjoy musicals doesn't make you gay. I love watching musicals. "Chicago" is absolutely wonderful. Catherine Zeta Jones and Renee Zellwigger were extremely hot looking in the film. Lots of hot women in the movie. If you dislike a movie because you think it's a chick flick, then you must be gay. This movie is made for everyone. The music and all the singing is really good too. My three favorite songs in the movie, "All That Jazz", "Mr. Cellophane", and the one with the marionette puppets I forgot the name of the title. Brilliant movie and I watch it all the time. I have even seen it in theaters on opening night before everyone didn't know about the movie.

"Chicago" was originally an obsecure movie which didn't play in many theaters when it first came out. But once it got the Oscar nod, the movie played everywhere in theaters and now it hit mainstream. From the very beggining I knew it was going to get Picture of the Year.

i liked "All that jazz," "roxie" (hence the pic), and "nowadays" best. i really liked the music very much. thanks to whoever resized the pic. i was feeling lazy last night ;)

That is why I bash your opinions because you kids can't respect mine. See the irony?

Considering the irony involved in your lack of capacity ot understand a joke, I don't think you've got any leeway to talk here. I mean, it's your right to make a total ass of yourself by complaining, and that's probably your goal, given your trollish behaviour in the wrestling forum. But do try thinking once in a while before you ironically invoke irony...

Don't worry. I think it's more that he's sucking on fruits that makes him gay, rather than his love of Chicago. ;)

It was great :)

I saw Chicago on stage here once, when they were on the off-Broadway
tours.....I also have the soundtrack sitting around here somewhere; not
from the movie, but the musical. :)

Wow, I've been in, like, 12 musicals already, and nobody told me I was gay. Now I gotta throw out all of my porn!

Anyways, Chicago rules. And whoever mentioned Little Shop, you are my new friend (was in the play, as the freakin' plant!)

"Chicago" was originally an obsecure movie which didn't play in many theaters when it first came out. But once it got the Oscar nod, the movie played everywhere in theaters and now it hit mainstream. From the very beggining I knew it was going to get Picture of the Year.

Chicago had Oscar buzz about it before it was even released. And the reason it was in limited release initially, was because the official opening of the movie was in January. But in order to be eligible for Oscar nominations, it was released in select cities in late December. But granted, once it did win Best Pic, it gained a lot more momentum and box office clout. But that does not mean it was in any way obscure before the Oscar nom and/or win.
