Bought:

21 Grams
American Beauty
Cold Mountain
House of Sand and Fog
The Others (it was 5 bucks, I'm a sucker for a deal)
and
Traffic (came in 2 pack with 21 Grams, is it any good?)

I'd say I made out well, altogether it was a shade under 70 bucks.

What were the last DVD purchases you made?

Last one I bought was Trainspotting Collector's Series and Quantum Leap Season 1.

Usually order them from the video store I work at, ordered 3 (Alice in Wonderland Special Edition, Bourne Identity, Club Dread) recently but the manager hasn't called them in yet.

I just read that the Friday the 13th boxset coming out in Oct. is only $60. THat's a steal.

I didn't really like Traffic and Cold Mountain, but the others are all amazing.

Nice :D.

I'm not much for sitting in front of the boob tube. I think the only two DVD's I have is the original Dune movie, and Great Expectations. Though my cousin has a shitload of music DVD's. (I was going to snatch a few but he came back from Texas earlier than expected  )

I brought

Austin powers 3
Loaded Weapon 1
Zoolander

All for under £20, which was awesome.

DeepDiscountDVD.com is not entirely secure (if you try and buy something you'll see what I mean). They were shit for me (6 weeks plus to fill an order) but I dunno, some people Stateside seem to be ok with them.

I likes DVDSoon or DVDPacific myself :o

Oh, and to answer the question the last one I bought was Reservoir Dogs SE for like £7 from DVDPacific

That amount of DVDs would probably have added up to somewhere between £75 to £100 over here, which is $150 to $200 roughly.

Crazy.

At various times I've seen at least 3 of those for around a fiver each, so if you were prepared to hunt around and maybe bide your time you could get the bunch for a lot less.

Whenever I want a movie I order through my video store where I work as well, the manager orders 'em up and I buy em at discount prices cause I'm smooth like that. But the last ones I got were Mars Attacks and Playmakers the series on DVD and such.

Yeah we get mad discount prices as well. Wish she wasn't so slow at ordering them though. Somethin about needing a specific number of orders on the list first, but last time I checked it was about a page.
