View Full Version : Smackdown! Talent Frustrated

Apparently following this past Sundays Great American Bash PPV many Smackdown! talent were extremely frustrated. Many feel that one of the problems is that too many guys who aren't ready yet are being thrusted into PPV spots instead of veterans like Richards, Val Venis, Maven, Nunzio, A-Train, Chuck Palumbo, Paul London, The Bashams, etc.

The finger is being pointed at Vince McMahon with the feeling that he doesn't understand how "smart" the current audience is and how quickly they notice if someone isn't "good" in the ring as a performer. Most already are upset with McMahon since he is sending so much of the company profit straight into his pocket.

On a higher note, www.Bloody-disgusting.com has just confirmed that former WWE wrestler Diamond Dallas Page will appear in the latest Rob Zombie horror movie - House of 1000 Corpses 2: The Devils Rejects. The article features a picture of DDP from the set.

I think the point about the fans being smart to who is talented and who isn't is a fair point. I mean if instead of having Suzuki-Gunn, Holly-Mordecai and Luther-Haas, they had Noble-Moore, Kidman+London-Bashams, and say Haas-Mordecai. They would have had a much better card. Yeah they still would have had the problem that half those guys aren't big stars, but at least they would have had good matches. And people would have went from saying that was the worst PPV ever, to saying it was decent to good.

I mean I can remember reading in the Observer for months that Suzuki was horrible in the ring, yet the WWE gives him a huge push. Its almost as though they dont take a look at these guys before putting so much effort into them, and then when they absolutely suck they are shocked. At some point somebody should fire the people that are doing the call ups in the WWE.

Is Jim Ross still the head scouter?

If I was on Smackdown I'd run it in a HHH Hunter Hearst Hitler kind of fashion, using my superior wit, skill, charm, intelligence, and the fact I was screwing Vinces Daughter.

But I would make sure all the good workers got a chance. I'd sack Hardcore Holly and Billy Gunn.

It would be great times if I was let loose to run Smackdown.

I thought he stepped down being the VP of talent or whatever he was.

I think Pritchard might be one of the heads, I could be wrong though.

Johnny Ace is in charge of Talent Rleations, which was JR's old job, now JR is more involved on the corporate side of the business.

This isn't the first movie that DDP was supposed to be in. He was originally supposed to play himself in "Rat Race." Cuba Gooding Jr. runs into a house that's being driven down the road on the back of a truck. He searches for some clothes (he's only wearing a t-shirt and some boxers at the time) and he starts digging through the bed, where Kim is sleeping. SHe screams, Cuba screams, and DDP runs in and beats the crap outta Cuba and throws him out of the house saying something clever while doing it. I forget what though.

Cant forget possibly the greatest wrestling movie ever DDP was in Ready 2 Rumble.

Their sign said "Will Work For Food" so Vince made them write for SmackDown.
