What do you people think was the greatest cage match besides the spectacular Eddie Guererro vs JBL Cage match on Smackdown! (that's a joke btw). Hell In A Cell matches count as well I guess. For me it was the Steve Austin vs Vince McMahhon one at the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. I dunno why but that match just had my undivided attention. What do you guys think?

-It would definitly be Angle vs. Benoit on RAW: the infamous top cage moonsault that nobody seems to want to remember; instead they keep spouting stupid shit about Bret and Owen Hart

-For Hell in a Cell, i've gotta go with Armaggeddon 2000: 6 men.........one cell. This match contained Non-Stop action. Non-Stop. And the finish elevated every man who stepped into that ring, exspecially Kurt Angle.

If HIAC counts then it has to be the first HIAC match between Taker and HBK.

I was talking about Bret and Owen. If I didn't think i'd get flamed out of my mind for stating my opinion about them, i'd do it.

Michaels vs. Taker= classic.

The aftermath of that match (Bret/Owen) was pretty cool.....which is in large part cause I thought wrestling was real back then.

Yeah, thats why it is probally my favorite. I was a mark then. I thought everything was all real.

Plus, it was the first Cage Match I ever saw. So, that is why I probally hold on to it as my favourite. It was a fantastic match too with great pyschology, told a story of two brothers fighting, and had its spots as well.

And at that point it was a nearly a year long feud. They both had been through so much... Owen getting eliminated at Survivor Serier '93 and blaming Bret. Then they patched things up at the Rumble only for Owen to turn on Bret after he didn't tag.

Then one of the best matches in the WWF at Wrestle Mania X.

Then insert Neidhart, Bret's old tag team partner to side with Owen... it was great. It was so dramatic.

I agree with the Benoit/Angle match.Wasnt there also a top rope german and a head butt off the cage?

Favre4Ever
07-26-2004, 07:00 PM
indeed there was. the reason i didn't mention the headbutt was because when the wwe was doing their match of the year contest, they had the cage match on the list. However, they had a pic of the headbutt and under it was writen "the greatest move on earth."

How is that better than a MOONSAULT? HE DID A BACKFLIP!!!!!OFF A CAGE!!!!COME ON!!!!!

But yeah......tight match.

I'd say Benoit/Angle or Austin/McMahon for regular cage, and Triple H/Michaels for HIAC... (What can I say, it was a pretty good blood bath)

Their logic is probably that Angle missed teh moonsault, but Benoit hit the headbutt.

So Funky Fly, if one day in a more perfect world those three got into a triple threat cage match, who do you think would win? (Pinfall, Submission, Or Escape from the Cage)

For the Cage, it's a hard choice. The Benoit mark in me wants to say Benoit/Angle, but the ending was marred by Austin's interference. Bret/Owen is a timeless classic, too. Then there's Edge/Jericho from a couple of years ago, a goodie that seems to have been forgotten. Or how's about The Hardyz/E&C?

Aww hell, I'll go with Harley Race/Ric Flair from the original Starrcade, just to throw in a little variety.

As for HIAC, I'd have to say Foley/Taker. I know the entire match is forgotten except those two bumps, but God DAMN, do I remember those two bumps!

Michaels vs. Taker= classic.

You wouldn't get flamed for voicing your opinion. You'd be flamed for being a fu</>cking idiot for even thinking about dogging them. Learn the difference daddio.
