What's with all these bands and having blood or dying in their band names?

Most Precious Blood? What the fuck kind of band name is that?

There is actually a lot of irony in it. they have a firm belief in anti-christianity and most precious blood is a church from their home town (brooklyn)

That's even dumber.

Anti-Christianity is pretty overdone. You're not rebellious anymore by not believing every word the Bible says. And it shouldn't have anything to do with their music or their band.

Heard them years ago. They suck.

And it shouldn't have anything to do with their music or their band. It's not to be rebellious. Just a belief the band has. It's not like look at us were anti christianity. It is just one of their many beliefs.

I hate bands that have blood or death in their names.

If their band name represents anti-christianity, that's exactly what it is.

its not to represent anti-christianity its more of an irony type thing.

How is it irony? It's the name of a church in their hometown, and they ALSO believe in anti-christianity? Not only is that retarded, but it's not even ironic.

Most hardcore is shit. *cue stop and go hardcore breakdown riffing*

BAH. NAH. NAH NAH NUH. *clusterfuck of kids in trucker hats and hoodies swing their arms and legs around like a bunch of Kung Fu rejects having seizures*

"I AM HARDCORE. I AM STRAIGHT EDGE. NOT DOING DRUGS AND ALCOHOL IS COOL. BE TRENDY BUT UNDERGROUND AND SCENE AT THE SAME TIME."

Annnnnnnnd resume shitty drummers who can barely keep time, wannabe metal riffs, and horrible shouting and screaming.

Now that isn't to say there are a lot of awesome hardcore bands. I've been to a fair share of hardcore shows at Gilman and the Pound. East Bay Hardcore is a HUGE fucking trend here... but it is so goddamn difficult to sift through the shit to find good hardcore bands. And regardless of how good the band is, you still have to put up with horrible support acts and the ANNOYING-AS-FUCK CROWD. God. Somebody needs to school hardcore kids on originality.

:-\ You just described me right there...but I'm in no way a trendy fuck, in fact I hate trucker hats :y:

Blood is one of the most overused concepts in poetry and singing.

Especially in the angst shit this moron tends to go for.

They have bad poetry contests where you score points by using the most clichéd shit possible. I bet I could enter these guys' lyrics and win a prize. :D

There are exceptions. I don't know how big scene is where you live, but in California it is a plague.

The Boston scene is more down to earth, all out fun; not trendy and goofy looking haha...or bad moshing haha.

Bad Brains :y: I dunno if they were from Jamaica, but they were a hardcore/raggae band haha. They claim to have invented the traditional "mosh" back in the early 80's.
