Bret Hart, Randy Savage, The Iron Sheik, Mick Foley (well, maybe not at 21, but somewhere down the road), The Legion Of Doom, The Million Dollar Man, hulk hogan and Ric Flair.

Okay, okay, okay, I know what some of you are thinking. The list is cool and all, but why Randy "Macho Man" Savage? Why the "rapper" who is an anti-hulk hogan mark? As much as I loved Hulkamania, he was, for a while the number two face. WMIV, Hogan could have been champion, but he just kept on with his fued with Andre, Savage picked up the title.
No, it's not one PPV. It's not even his fued with Ric Flair or Ricky Steamboat. It's all his years in the bizz.

I definitely agree with you on Savage.

It has nothing to do with what is going on currently in wrestling (or their personal lives), but rather acknowledgement of their years and accomplishments (and their sacrifices) for the business.

Savage was definitely: a big draw, a recognizable personality, a top notch performer, and helped the WWF quite a bit during his time there. As far as Savage as a person goes, he's seriously fucking crazy, but like I said, whatever is whatever.

Also, does anyone find it insulting at all that Pete Rose was an inductee?

Pete Rose is the William Hung of the Hall Of Fame... In other words, yes, it is insulting. Wanna place bets to see who else thinks it's insulting?

I've heard a few people remark that "it's only a Hall of Fame deal, it's not like he won the World Title" - which is ridiculous, because getting inducted into (even a figurative HoF - since there is no building, etc..) is logically more important than just winning the belt, especially in 2004.

Also, another guy who might be considered should be "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan - TOUGH GUY :y:

Lou Thesz never wrestled for WWF.

I don't think whether or not they wrestled for WWE is a factor anymore. Harley Race was never anything big in the WWE, but they still admitted him to the hall of fame, obviously because of his accomplishments in NWA.

Ever since they aquired their vast video library, I think they've sort of put all of the footage they have under the WWE umbrella in a sense.

Lou Thesz never wrestled for WWF.

The WWE World Championship, currently being held by Randy Orton of the WWE, was once held by Lou Thesz, (for example, being won by him on 11/09/1956 St. Louis MO / One Fall). Thesz is also a WCW Hall of Fame Inductee and because the WWE absorbed the WCW he should qualify for their WWE Hall of Fame.
